The Leftovers- Seriously, what is with the music on this show, always creepy and depressing? But ah, so this proves it once and for all. So dog killer guy isn't a figment of the chief's (or his family's) imagination. But they did stretch it out a bit there, by having Laurie be the one interacting with him when he showed up during the search party. But they finally had other people (that one ep with Aimee, she glided past him, as if he wasn't there) acknowledge he's a bonafide person. And ha, I thought they were friends! But then in the town hall meeting about the curfew, he sandbags Kevin!
Still even if its been proven he's real, it still seems to be a weird situation. Like Kevin didn't even think he lives there, but apparently the guy claims he's been around. And then there was that whole thing with just leaving his truck with Kevin for the past few eps.
It is interesting though, with Laurie being in the cult and all. Most of the town could give a rat's ass about Kathy Geiss being stoned. But since Laurie's in the cult, while Kevin doesn't like them, of course he's going to defend them and her. That was also a nice touch, where Kevin wanted to tell Jill himself, before she heard a guilty remnant person was killed from some other person. But of course, seeing her father showing up in the middle of the school day totally freaked her out anyways.
And what was with the beginning with stoned lady and cult leader lady sharing that look? Was she like a sacrificial lamb, did they martyr her for some scheme? Patti seems so devious too. Like the whole giving Laurie an off day, saying she can talk and Laurie still not doing so. So Laurie thought it was a test? Was it a test? I mean, Patti made some comments about how family can be a strong pull. But she never said anything bad would happen if Laurie talked!
Also, what the shit is going on with the fake doggie bag? Like she asks for a bag even though they have no leftovers but she drops it off for someone.
But seriously, is there something going on with Kevin and Aimee? What with staying at their house and her prancing around in the little skimpy outfits in the morning? Of course, he's also getting flirty with that Nora chick too.
And is someone or something fucking with him? First the missing bagels or something an ep or two ago, then this ep, the weirdness with his alarm and his missing shirts. Like when he threatened the dry cleaner guy, that guy totally gave him 8 random white shirts right?
And what the shit? So we've seen a couple of cults on this show so far, the GR and the huggy guy's cult. And apparently the ATF's stance is apparently to storm in and kill them? Which again, its an interesting situation, because Laurie's in the cult, so when the Feds creepily are all, "We can eliminate the infestation and get you the result you need!" of course he doesn't want that. But it seems from the tone them coming in is inevitable! Like what the frick, they just dump Gladys into a furnace!
