True Blood- Whoops! Whoops, we find out how Bill got infected- it was from Sookie. So a few eps ago, when Sookie was using herself as bait, she cut herself to attract the vampires. Unfortunately, in the chaos, she got doused with the bloody remains of the dead hep-V vamps, which got into her cut and infected her.
Interesting though, did her faerie-ness accelerate the Hep-V in Bill? That was hilarious at the lawyer's office (which what the eff, I thought it was a doctor's office? What law office has a waiting room like that?), when the mail man vamp was all, "dude, what stage are you in?" and Bill's all, "Ida know, I just noticed the symptoms last night!" and the mail man like gets up and sits as far away as possible! HA!
But aw, the Bill stuff last week was boring (though it was nice to see Shannon Lucio show up again as his wife, I've always liked her), the stuff with Jessica this week was sweet. I like how he's really become a father to her. So he went to the lawyer office to try and amend his estate to make Jessica his heir. But the state doesn't recognize progeny as legitimate heirs. And apparently Burrell put forth a law that kinda screwed over vamps with regards to property rights and all that jazz. So the lawyer suggests adoption, which will take 5 months, and then says $10 million will expedite the process. And Bill is pissed at the outright extortion, which the lawyer admits too. She's all "boo hoo!" but I guess she forgets how powerful vampires are and seems quite surprised when Bill reacts by driving a letter opener through her heart.
Sookie does verify she is indeed hep-V positive, and she goes back to Bill's, apologizing profusely to Jess, who of course forgives her. Because if Bill is her father, Sookie is like the cool stepmother. And I thought it was a really sweet scene in the end, where Bill comes home, stumbles because of his sickness, but then takes a breath and pretends to be okay, so as to not worry Jessica. But then he comes through the door, and sees the two women he loves staring at him, all teary eyed, and he knows the jig is up.
But ha, Andy catches Holly's son bedding Adilyn, so obviously he's pissed. Which leads to a big fight with Holly, because he was chasing him around. So Arlene has to play mediator. Which, that was also hilarious, because Holly was intimating it was Adilyn tempting her little Wade with her Faerie sluttiness. (let's not forget that she was none too pleased that Andy had bedded Adilyn's mother and all of a sudden had four daughters)
In the beginning of the ep, Eric was having an extended fight with yaks, and at first I was thinking they were vamp-yaks because they lasted so long, but apparently not? This show needs to be a little more consistent with the power level of their people. I mean, I guess Eric is technically weaker since he's infected. But even last season before the virus was invented, vamps were being taken down by highly trained and nicely equipped soldiers. But at the same time, they've had freaking Eric and Bill just decapitate scores of Authority soldiers in the blink of an eye. Like yes, the humans developed countermeasures for vamps, but I would think the Authority bodyguards would be pretty elite, since they'd be protecting the authority from other vamps. So if Bill and Eric can stomp those guys, they could take anything Governor Burrell threw at them. Then again, I guess while they did carve through those guys like a hot knife through butter, I guess the other vamps on this show did not show that same level of competence and ability. So maybe Eric and Bill are up there in terms of l33tness.
But whatever, so the head of the American Division of the company that makes Tru Blood wants Sarah Newlin to kill her out of revenge for ruining his business. So he captures Eric and Pam and threatens to make them meet the sun if they don't tell him where she is. Eric refuses to tell, and Pam finally has had enough and tells them they're both being ridiculous since they all want the same goal. So eventually Pam has the guy swear on his honor that he won't kill them after they help him find her, and additionally, Eric gets to kill Sarah, and Yak guy gets the body. And thus, Eric and Pam tell them about Sarah's sister, who she'll prolly go to since their parents are dead.
And sure enough, she does, and Amber tries to eat her. But, since she's infected, she can't carry that out. But hey, Sarah does have some loyalty, telling her sister there is a cure, so she can save her. Sarah apparently took it while she was escaping from the camp massacre. Hilariously, she's having delusions of godhood now, thinking that the whole hep-V crisis happened so she can save her sister and others and be a savior.
And so she cures her sister. But the scene where Eric and Pam and the Yaks show up and the music starts playing, it almost seemed straight out of a Tarantino movie. Of course, when they see Amber is been cured, Pam utters her usual, "What the fuck?!" And Eric attempt to choke an answer of how she's better out of Sarah's sister.
And uh oh, Violet's pretty pissed about the whole thing between Jason and Jessica. I mean, when Jason comes home, Violet seduces him, I guess thinking maybe she can use her V to sway him back. But then Jessica calls him to get Sookie so she can tell her about Bill being sick. So when she finds Jason ran off again at Jessica's calling, she has a tantrum and wrecks her place.
But what the frick, why the hell is she absconding with Adilyn and Wade?! What do they have to do with anything? And I know Jason is dumb, but I didn't think he was that dumb! Like he knows what a crazy person Violet is, and saw the wreckage of her little room in the basement! He's not fearful of his or Jessica's lives? I mean, he doesn't know she knows (unless it was written in that letter), but its like gee, he cheated on her, and the next day she takes off, I wonder if she knows!?!
Other stuff, Nicole has had enough of crazy town, and is going, and wants Sam to go with her. And James allows Lettie Mae to get high off his blood, and Lafayette joins her, in attempt to prove her wrong about her Tara visions. But nope, they actually have a Tara vision, leading them to Lettie Mae's old house where she raised Tara. So Lafayette believes her, and tries to convince preacher man, but he's had too many experiences with addicts and this stuff does seem far fetched that he can't help but think its just the delusions of an addict.
