Teen Wolf- Some surprises here and there. So small surprise, Liam's friend Mason is gay. Bigger surprise- so apparently the list was only partially decoded, there are two more cipher keys. So Lydia spends the whole ep trying to figure the keys out. Malia suggests checking with Meredith to see if she can help Lydia unlock some banshee mojo. Interestingly enough, Meredith somehow sensed Lydia needed her and walked from Eichen house to the town, and was found by Deputy Parrish. He manages to get her to tell Lydia "a number they can reach out to for help". So they think she's going to give them a phone number, but she gives them too few digits.
So everyone's all upset, but Malia figures out maybe it "like algebra" after glancing over at a phone keypad. So she points it out to Lydia, who figures out the next key is "Aiden". So who's the third key? Since I haven't watched this show from the beginning, is their another dead friend who's name could be the last code? But yeah, big surprise ep, they next set of names they unlock (which includes Kira's mother) has Parrish amongst them! So, what is he? And has he been hiding it from there, or is he unaware?
As for the rest of the ep, the heretofor unknown Carrie Hudson is dispatched really quickly in the first five minutes of the ep by Garrett, after being chased around by Violet. Stiles figures out the killer must be on the lacrosse team, as her knife wounds match a knife that would perfectly fit in a lacrosse stick. They figure the killer is whoever ordered the keg. Liam doesn't know who ordered it, but he does know Garrett paid for it. Which, sure is the right answer, but that shouldn't make them think he knew the keg guy was a werewolf. Their whole reasoning is that whoever order the keg was luring the guy there. So it should be inconsequential that Garrett paid for it.
Anyways, they think Liam might be in danger, and indeed, it does seem like Garrett and Violet are going to kill a beta at the game that night. Violet actually wants to kill Scott for the big payday, but Garrett thinks she's biting off more than she can chew. Which, on the list Scott's only listed as 20. Which was kinda weird given Carrie and beer keg guy were nobodies and they were like 250-500. Unless they're only 250-500K, whereas Scott is 20 MILLION? They did think he would be a 7 figure pay day. So is Kira actually 6 million, and Lydia and Derek also multi-million dollar payoffs?
But I digress, they're playing Liam's old school, and they're losing, until Kira manages to score. Of course, the coach benches are immediately afterward because she's not being a team player and didn't pass when she had the chance, instead, going for the goal. So plenty of viewers were pissed, thinking he's a chauvinist and benched her because she made the boys look bad. Anyway, after Liam and his rival slam into each other hard after, and both are pretty injured- Liam's arm is broken, but Scott snaps it back into place. That combined with the fact that they see Garrett retract his poisoned blade and Liam seems fine points to Liam's rival being the actual target. I mean, if he can break the arm of a werewolf, he's not normal.
Indeed, Violet goes after him, and it seems like she's about to kill him, but when Scott goes to check on him, he's still alive, as Violet wants the big pay day. (which, couldn't she kill the guy, then Scott, unless her heated garrotte needs to charge or something) Of course, Scott isn't even fazed by the garrotte, easily handling it and pulling it from his throat and knocking out Violet.
In the end, the Mexicans show up at Chris', all annoyed that they hadn't heard from Braeden in a while, thinking maybe Derek killed her (I guess they don't know she's been effing him?). So, they're all, if you want something done, do it yourself. And they want to enlist Chris, invoking the hunter's code and his poor dead wife and daughter. So, is Chris going to help them and go after Derek and the others, or is he just biding time?
