24- Are you freaking kidding me? Looks like Audrey is yet another in a line of women getting fridged to make Jack all tortured.
So Cheng holds Audrey hostage and tells Jack to back off. Obviously, he doesn't, instead sending Kate to rescue her while he goes after Cheng. He hooks back up with Chloe and Belchek and with Chloe running overwatch, they go all MGS on the Freighter Cheng is holed up in. Unfortunately, Cheng's man gets wind of it, and cuts off their comms and Cheng orders Audrey shot before Kate is ready.
But Kate manages to save her from the sniper. Only, they got cocky and thought it was over, and Cheng had another man show up to kill Audrey. Kate is devastated she failed Jack, and calls him to tell him about it. So, he's sad, and then angry, going into berserker mode, slaughtering the entire ship, capturing Cheng enough to get verification for the Chinese before beheading him.
So war is averted, but then Heller has to hear from Clark that his daughter is dead and he collapses in front of everyone. And again, its not over, because in the fracas Chloe got captured!
There's a 12 hour time jump- Mark is being sent to prison, Audrey has a funeral procession, wherein Stephen Fry gives Heller his sympathies, and Heller heartbreakingly tells him that he prolly won't remember the events of this day, or that he even has a daughter.
And not surprisingly, its the Russians who captured Chloe, and we end the ep with Jack trading himself for Chloe's freedom.
