Warehouse 13- Heh, thank goodness for the previews, because I did not remember at all how the last season ended. Or the first half of the season, I dunno if they did the whole split the final season in two thing like a lot of these cable shows are wont to do. Whatever, I couldn't remember where they ended before the break. Myka had an operation on her cancer and Pete made a deal with Paracelsus to get an artifact to save her, and then he was able to take over the Warehouse and Claudia was locked in with him, ready for a showdown for control of the Warehouse. Heh, so the showdown is over pretty quick, once Paracelsus realizes Claudia is "connected" to the Warehouse, meaning he can control her. But since Myka recovered, she knew exactly how to get past force field since she actually reads the boring reports the Regents sent out. So, they get control of the Warehouse back.
But! Paracelsus combined some artifacts to go back in time and kill the regents of Warehouse 9 and changes history so he was caretaker for over five hundred years. Luckily, when the gang figured Paracelsus combined artifacts to go back in time, they got a hold of some artifacts of their own so they would be immune to the time change.
Long story short, Pete and Myka go back in time and stop Paracelsus, and everything is back to normal. Except, Mark Shepard's character, who was alive in the alternate universe, figured out this timey-wimey stuff going on, and got a hold of one of the time change protection artifacts before the universe was righted, and now is back alive.
Agents of SHIELD- Weird that they pushed it back an hour without advertising it well. So, Col Talbot (played by Adrian Pasadar) calls the hub all, "yeah, we just want to talk!" Coulson and the remaining SHIELD people figure they better cut and run, because they can't fight the US government, and they know Talbot is not a come in to investigate and ask questions nicely kinda guy (in the comics, he's one of Thunderbolt Ross' Hulk-hunting people).
So they flee (with Triplett in tow. Simmons vouches for him, but the others don't trust him since he was with Garrett), and Coulson gets a message in his badge that the thinks is from Fury. The rest of the group think he's unhinged and that it could totally be a Hydra trap. But, they give him the benefit of the doubt, and just when they think there is nothing at the coordinates Coulson received, they find a secret base, with an Agent Koenig played by Patton Oswalt. He tells them Fury is dead, but this place is their new staging ground to do what they do. Then he takes Coulson aside and reveals the truth about Fury being secretly alive, and that he lied to the rest of the team because they haven't been vetted.
Meanwhile Garrett and Ward are busy. They break out Raina (who's quite disappointed Garrett is not actually clairvoyant, that he's just a guy who got his info the old fashioned way, by stealing it), then capture the Fridge, getting hold of all the goodies in there, like that rich prick and the Gravitonium. Unfortunately, the drive Ward took from the team was encrypted by Skye, and it will be erased if someone tries to break into it. So, he has to go back undercover.
When the team hears the Fridge has been hit, Skye immediately calls Ward, who prolly makes up some BS of how he was able to escape, but Hand was tragically killed. But in any case, after Garrett beats him up a bit to sell the story, he returns to the team, to hopefully get the drive decrypted by Skye. I'm kinda curious, if they didn't need her to do that, would he just not have returned to the team? Like would he just have faked his death in the Fridge?
Person of Interest- Interesting, things are getting crazy. This week presents a dilemma. The number they were assigned to protect, the gang eventually figures out the Machine supposedly gave the number for them to kill him. Why? Because he's a sleazy senator who will basically greenlight Decima's Samaritan taking over the Machine's job. Which will be no good for any of them and the rest of the world.
When they realize it, Shaw and Reese are obviously fine with killing the guy for the greater good, but Harold of course has compunctions. Its like sure, killing this guy may stop the government contract and stop Samaritan from coming online, but they may figure out some way to stop it even after Decima gets the funding without having to kill the guy.
Harold even tries to buy the guy off to prevent Reese and Shaw from having to execute him. But he's a patriot- sure, he's taking bribes, but he believes in what Decima's selling, a new machine to protect the country. And Harold comes off to the guy as a privacy nut like Collier. Its like, if Harold was that desperate at that point, he should've let loose some of his secrets, that he made the first machine, so its not like he doesn't believe in the protection of the machine, just the whole putting in no safeguards and that Decima is not trustworthy.
In the end, they make you think Reese executed the guy, but he didn't. And now they're in deep shit. They end up running, and Shaw is wounded. So they're having to hide and recuperate. Unfortunately, since that guy is still alive, Decima basically gets the keys to the kingdom. Well, just NY, for 24 hours. Decima brings Samaritan online and plugs it into the NYC grid, ostensibly to prove its worth by finding a terrorist. But, Greer tasks it with hunting down Finch, because with him gone, it will be smooth sailing.
The Originals- You know, some people have complained about the latest arc, calling it "boring", but its exactly the kinda thing I want out of a supernatural show with witches, vampires, and werewolves. I like when they're organized behind the scenes and struggling for power. Its way more interesting to me than them sitting around and lamenting their power. So Monique want Genevieve to kill herself to resurrect the last harvest girl and supplicate their ancestors. Genevieve acts the loyal witch, but of course she doesn't really want to die, and makes up excuses like she needs to get the Mikaelson grimoire to give to the coven before she dies, etc. She fails, and Monique is about to kill her, but then the Ancestors tell her to offer Genevieve a choice- she can live, but she has to kill Klaus and Hayley's child. Which, Genevieve looks all conflicted, and I'm all, why? She doesn't like the Originals or the werewolves particularly, so why should she care? Though I suppose that means tangling with them, which is no easy task. And Klaus would prolly be none too pleased if he found out she was responsible for his child's death.
Anyways, its some fancy witch festival where people bring gifts and the witches supposedly bless them, and the interests of keeping the peace and showing unity, Elijah wants the vampires and wolves and humans to send representatives. Ha, and Monique totally continues to mean girl Davina by having the party-goers give the gifts to herself and the other living Harvest girl and none for Davina. But as a means of making amends and solidifying his own alliances, he gives her a gift, Josh's freedom, and a ring and the spell to make it into a daylight ring.
In any case, Marcel causes a ruckus at the event by compelling some of the entertainment to cut their wrists and drive the vampires there into a blood frenzy. Hayley gets hurt a little, and Klaus is a little sad because he doesn't get to be the hero, Elijah is right there immediately to pick her up and see if she's alright. So Elijah's pissed and he goes after Marcel. Marcel gets a little cocky and is all, Klaus would be pissed at him if he killed him. So, Elijah kills Thierry instead. Which only serves to get Diego and the vampires on Marcel's side.
But secrets get out- Hayley (who everyone is starting to say is becoming quite Queenly) and Elijah both find out about Klaus making secret dealings with the wolves. Hayley is pissed at the secrecy, but is fine with making a deal, but warns her wolves not to trust him. Interestingly, while Jackson and the other dude are in Klaus' camp, Eve may be with Elijah, as she tells Eljiah she's watching over Hayley for him. In any case, after learning of Klaus' shenanigans, Elijah says he's tired of it, of sublimating his desires for the sake of Klaus, and may start taking what he wants.
Klaus also finds out Cami slept with Marcel. First he apologizes to her for first accidentally offending Genevieve, who refuses to help Kiernan out of spite. He tells her this because he's just now realizing secrets are the root of a lot od his problems, and reveals he knows she screwed Marcel. So while he's sorry he can't help her uncle, he also wants her to warn Marcel he's dead to him now. I guess he's all jealous that he lost his current whatever Genevieve was to him, Hayley loves Elijah, and now he finds out Cami got together with Marcel.
