TV commentary:

Pretty Little Liars- Argh, I wanted to scream at the screen so much during this ep. Okay, I actually did scream at the TV a few times, which [livejournal.com profile] clevemire prolly heard from his room, as I'm louder than I think I am. But yeah, looking at tumblr and the forums, some people are deluded and insane if they believe the BS you know who was spouting. I mean, I know why they want to believe, because they don't want their ship to be wrong, but still! So Ezra has suffered Spencer enough, particularly when he catches her at his desk, asleep over the diary. So he tells Aria that Spencer is a total druggie.

And what the shit, it actually works. It kinda pisses me off the Hanna and Emily start doubting Spencer and thinking maybe Spencer is crazy when she thought Ezra was A. I mean, Spencer has been acting totally sketch, but I think Spencer has made a good case for Ezra being A. But yeah, she finally tells Aria in a fit of rage and incredulousness. Aria of course, thinks she's totally crazy.

Only, when she's telling Ezra about the intervention later (leaving the A-ccusation out, since she thinks he's unaware of all that stuff), he screws up and mentions details about Spencer finding the fake Toby body that he shouldn't know. So Aria is suspicious, goes to the cabin, and while Ezra has cleared his lair out of the basement, she finds his draft for a book about Ali.

She flees when she seems him approaching the cabin, but idiotically leaves her keys, so not only can she not get away, he knows she's there. And for some reason she decides to try and flee in a ski lift (why is there a ski lift there?) So basically she ends up trapped in a chair with him. He claims, yes, he did know Ali from before, but he totally thought she was older. Geez, wasn't she 14 at the time? How old did all these guys think she looked? Then again, unlike the other actresses on this show, Sasha Pieterse is a teen, being 14 when the show started. And she did seem older than that.

But I digress, he says he knew her, but someone else totally tried to kill her, he was just interested in her story once she disappeared and wanted to write a true crime novel, and that's why he's been doing all this. Which, bullshit! He has video surveillance of them, for sure hacked Emily's car to make it break down that one time, just to find info for his book? I mean, since the lair was cleared, he may think his story is believable, because the only evidence Aria had was the book. But the audience shouldn't believe it. We've definitely seen him do questionable things onscreen.

Plus, while he could use the excuse that he didn't know how old Ali really was, he admits he knew who Aria was before he met her. Which totally changes their first meeting around. Because now he can't claim he thought she was older and was not some kinda pervert, he knew she was 16. And even if he was just using her at first, that's still incredibly fucked up, because he was going to start up a pretend relationship with a teenager to get info?

Like I said, I don't believe the book story for a second. If it is true, I'll be so mad though.

But ha, Aria accidentally drops the book off the lift, before they go into commercial break. And when they return, Aria is home all upset. So what, she and Ezra eventually get off the chairlift, are all, "Gee, this is awkward!" and just part ways? I am kinda annoyed we don't see the other girls find out Aria figured things out on her own.

But yeah, speaking of the other girls, turns out Ezra didn't need to turn up the heat, because Spence totally fucked things up for herself. She tries to quit, but then goes through withdrawals and makes another fake call as her mom to the doctor's office, but changes her mind at the last minute. Unfortunately, they call her mom back. And since she blows off Toby and her parents by saying she's with the other so she, Emily and Hanna can try and trick Ezra into exposing himself, she ends up looking totally sketch and now her parents and Toby think she's a druggie since she had issues before.

Given Ezra was with Aria at the time, their plan fails. Someone did show up, possibly Mona. Which interestingly enough, she may have actually fallen for Mike, and wants out from under Ezra (which again, lends proof to the whole "I'm writing a book!" thing being total BS!).

So in the end, Aria knows Fitz is a liar, Spencer is in huge trouble with her bf and parents, and she and the other girls have no idea that Aria knows about Ezra. Actually, they're still not even sure, but Aria is now.
