TVD- With all that Silas stuff dealt with, guess its time to move onto the next story arc. Let's deal with the MF stuff first. So Katherine is getting all drunk and depresso since she's, you know, dying. Matt threatens to cut her off since she's a loud drunk and annoying the customers, but then she notices him paying more attention to videos on his phone (of Gregor in his body). Since the guy is speaking in her native tongue, she offers to help him for more booze. That's when she learns all about him meeting Nadia and the Travellers sniffing around her. (Heh, I would've like to see some reaction from Katherine all, "You had a threesome with my daughter and the Bekster?!!")
So, she goes to Stefan for help. He's suffering major PTSD, so he declines to go to Bonnie's welcome back to the land of the living party at Whitmore and is thus the only supe around in MF to help with this. Ha, Stefan does ask Nadia and Katherine which one is "younger", out of "morbid curiosity." C'mon, Olga Fonda is pretty and all, but she's clearly older than Nina Dobrev. Guess she got turned later than her mom did.
Anyways, Matt gives Kat the knife and Nadia calls Gregor forth. Apparently, she really does like him, he wasn't a means to an end. So the overprotective mom interrogates her daughter's bf, and it turns out he was kinda using Nadia too, to find Katherine and kill her. Obviously, Katherine doesn't trust this guy, so she takes the knife Gregor told Matt to keep safe, and shoves it into Matt. Matt's fine because he has the protecto ring, but the knife can kill Travellers (which btw are called that because they can "travel" into people's bodies) . So Gregor's toast, and Nadia is totally mad at her mom for killing her bf.
Of course, Katherine is crushed that her daughter told her to go to hell, and now that she knows the Travellers are after her, and she's rapidly aging, she doesn't care anymore and decides to end it. Luckily, Stefan finds her suicide note and saves her- apparently no one else knew about the rapidly aging thing? Stefan convinces Kat to suck it up as she's always been a fighter. Hey, I wouldn't be opposed to Stefan and Katherine.
So at Whitmore, they're throwing a party for Bonnie. Which 1) I didn't realize Bonnie is no longer a witch- like apparently she's technically still a ghost, but corporeal? and 2) How many weeks has it been since the start of the semester? I'm amused they act like folks like Tyler and Bonnie can show up like weeks later and still be able to register for classes.
Anyways, Jesse escapes from Dr. Maxfield, and calls Caroline all freaked out about what's happening to him, and needs her now before his roommate shows up. Unfortunately, his roommate does show up before Caroline, and what do you know, its Aaron. Caroline shows up just in time to save Aaron, and she and Elena teach him how to be a vampire, like showing him how to heal Aaron with his blood and how to compel him to forget all this nasty business.
Meanwhile, they send Damon to interrogate the good doctor, and he eventually gets out of Wes that the secret society is secretly experimenting on vampires to make them crave vampire blood so the vamps will stop going after humans. So during the party, Jesse bites Caroline, but is able to show enough self control to run away and confront Dr Maxfield about what he did to him. Unfortunately, Damon's there, with his wrist cut open to feed Wes since Damon was interrogating him by injecting him with all sorts of nasty diseases and would heal him with his blood if Wes fessed up. So, the smell of fresh vampire blood drives Jesse crazy- and apparently Jesse is stronger than Damon despite being a nascent vampire.
He's getting ready to tear Damon's head off until Elena shows up and stakes him to save her love. Caroline is upset that Elena didn't find another way. Eventually Elena convinces Caroline that she thought she did everything she could, but Caroline is still going to continually bitch about Damon because she still thinks he's dangerous and evil, and tells Elena the day she'll stop is the day she stops caring about Elena. Which I understand the sentiment, she wants to protect Elena but that's a kinda fucked up thing to say- "I hate your bf and think he's terrible for you, so I will continue to say you should break up, and if I ever stop, that's because we aren't friends anymore."
But yeah, Elena tells Damon not to kill Wes since he's Aaron's guardian, having taken care of him after his family was murdered by vampires. So she kinda feels sorry for the guy and I guess prolly wants to know what that's all about. Damon is about to follow her wishes, despite him not liking these vampire experiments. And why does he hate them? Because apparently unknown to the audience, back in the 50s he had been captured by the Augustine society and experimented on. We don't learn too much about that, or how he escaped. But yeah, despite Katherine and Caroline and possibly Elena having heard the name "Augustine", apparently they at no point said that word to Damon. So knowing that the Doctor is part of the Augustine society, he means to kill him, but Wes managed to get the drop on him, hitting the "atomized vervain" safety sprinklers in his lab, and they throw Damon back in his old cell. Wait, does that mean he knows Elena and Caroline are vampires again after all these events?
Oh, as for Bonnie, the Germ learns about the whole anchor consequence thing with Bonnie feeling the pain of those supes that die that pass through her, but she's all, it was worth it to be corporeal again. And then they totally do it, since they can. Plus, she looks uber cute in her new bob haircut.
