OUAT- Captain Hook back story. Interesting, where exactly is he from? I guess the tech level of FTL is confusing, but given the uniforms and cannons looking all 17th or 18th century or whatever, it didn't seem like he was from the same time period as the FTL characters. Especially since technically he predates Regina and the Charmings, since he met Rumpel before he was the Dark One and ran off with Mila, which show timeline wise seemed like years (centuries?) before the Snow/Regina stuff, as the Dark One met Cora when she was young. But the show had established there was time jumping going on (or that Hook and Neal didn't age while they were in Neverland) for Hook to be around the same age as Emma and her parents, and for Neal to grow up in the "real" world.
So either FTL somehow had cannons on ships for a long time, which seems hard to believe given Mulan didn't know what a gun was, and if there were such things as ship cannons, I would think she would be all, "is that a tiny cannon?" But I can believe he came from one land, and traveled between his world, FTL, and Neverland, among others. Like I'm still trying to figure if Alice is from our 19th century England, or from a world that is like 19th century England? So the same for Hook, is he from our world, or a world that is like ours, circa 1600-1700s?
But isn't David kinda a dick? He refuses to tell his family he's dying, won't let Hook tell them, is a total jerk to Hook, and then has the gall to be all, "Oh, when I succumb to the poison, tell some story of how I died valiantly!" Its like, if you think Hook is a lying scumbag, why are you thinking he's gonna keep up your stupid charade?
I was also wondering about his brother dying in the flashback! Like when the brother died I was all, "Wait, how will this water cure him if he'll die as soon as he leaves Neverland?" But Hook tells David he can never leave once he drinks it, which he's fine with, if it gives him more time with his family to help find Henry. But what the crap, they're still keeping up the charade. Like if they do find Henry, what will he say when they want to leave, "Oh yeah, Hook and I totally lied about everything, I have to stay here forever, or I'll die as soon as we go back!" Of course, I'm sure defeating Pan will allow him to leave, but still.
But interesting, Hook gets a smooch from Emma, so he thinks he's so in there, despite Emma saying its a one time thing. And then Pan drops the Neal is still alive bomb to Hook, taking joy in seeing what he'll do with that info. Meanwhile he locks Neal up with "the other". Interesting, who else does Pan have prisoner?
