Hey, the girls look hot and geek references abound.
ME blather- So, the new Citadel DLC for ME3 dropped and it had basically everything I was wanting:
1) Wrex as a squad member? check. Sure, its only in the citadel missions, but I was pretty sure that was going to be the case, just like you can't play Aria and Nyreen outside of Omega. I was worried he'd only be a NPC, so I was thrilled that you could have him in your squad.
2) The ME2 squad mates as squad members? check. Well, its only in arena mode, but again, I suspected that would be the case. I mean, like Wrex, I was worried that the only appearance by them would be just more convos/cutscenes with them, but thankfully you can play with them. Alas, you can't play with Thane, Legion, Mordin, or Morinth though. And they kinda mucked up Kasumi's skills, taking away everything that made her unique (shadow strike and flashbang grenades) Its like, shadow strike exists in MP, why the hell did they trade that out for tactical cloak?
3) Speaking of, more face time with everyone? YES! Every character (well except Legion) gets new content. Heck, even Thane and Mordin get little things. Plus, more romance scenes! You kinda got screwed in the game previously if you romanced a non-squad member like Jack or Miranda. But now both ladies have as substantial content as Liara or Ash. Actually, you also got screwed if you were playing a femshep, because their options were lacking, and they got less content as well. But Citadel fixes that. Like femsheps who romance Garrus get more than the paltry bit they had in the game proper.
4) ways to make money? Finally! Between the arena, casino, and arcade, there's plenty now to do in between missions. I could possibly max all my weapons out without having to do a NG+!
Anyways, the dialogue throughout is hilarious, this honestly is the best add-on you could get for the game. Well, if you're a fan of the series, as its total fanservice.
Now, onto the plot of the DLC. So the enemy is a clone of you made by Cerberus in case they needed spare parts when they were rebuilding you. It got loose, and it wants your life. Hey, some people think its cheesy, I have no problem with it. But that does give the game more replay value, since the clone is your class. Thus, it provides an additional "uniqueness" to your playthrough- I mean, in the game overall, your strategy changes depending on your class obviously. I think the only one who got something unique previously was the engineer, in that they got that class-based interrupt in Omega. But the fights in the game were all the same. Now, you have one boss fight that will always be different depending on your class.
As for Maya, she's cute, I liked the whole dorky thing, but I should have been suspicious since she was a little too similar to Traynor, and why would they make two characters like that? The whole her sneaking into that room first and "finding" the guy dead kinda sealed it. Which was kinda disappointing, because dang, I would have liked her on my team. Well, finding out she was one of TIM's best operatives (kinda like an evil Miranda) actually had me wanting her on my team more.
