Walking Dead- Oh, wait I totally forgot about one thing, which makes the Governor's decision at the end a little less mercurial. With everyone sitting on so much info, I forgot that Merle lied and said he had killed Michonne. So him branding Merle a traitor makes much more sense. I thought he was just pissed that this group happened to have Merle's brother, but the fact that Merle lied about Michonne is a much more grievous offense. I wonder if the branding Merle a traitor was a punishment because he couldn't reveal the whole truth to the rest of Woodbury, or if his paranoia is making him think Merle really was in cahoots with them.
Dexter- Once you get past the whole murder thing, Dex and Hannah are kinda a sweet couple. Like I know she killed a bunch of people and all, but how could you not want to comfort her when her dad browbeat her about how she caused her mom to die of a broken heart and all that?
Its interesting the implications Hannah is having for Dex's psyche. I mean, I think its different from Lila, who seemed all, "Let's revel in our dark side!" and different than Lumen, who only liked Dexter's dark side until her revenge was completed. Hannah accepts his dark side, and is okay with it. Moreover, she's telling him he doesn't need to use the dark passenger as an excuse. So she's not exactly encouraging him to murder people left and right, but she's also saying if he feels the urge to kill, that's okay.
Of course, I wonder how she'd feel if she knew Dexter killed her father to protect her. I mean, surely she can't believe Dex was able to just talk it out with her dad and that he'd truly never bother her again. Unless she was reading between the lines and realized he did the one thing she couldn't do, because its her father.
Too bad her dad actually gave Deb a clue before Dex killed him. What a dick, so he was going to blackmail his daughter, even though he already revealed the info to the police?
In other news, Quinn kills club owner guy when he says he's sending Nadia to work in Dubai. Then, he makes it look like self defense and lets Nadia flee since she's here illegally. Of course, Batista isn't too pleased with this, since he knows there was a lag between the shots, and that Quinn's story of the guy shooting him and thinking he was down and started beating on Nadia and then Quinn shot him was kinda thin.
Also, it looks like Matthews and LaGuerta are onto Dex. At first Matthews was skeptical. But then they come to find out that the cabin Doakes was killed in was being rented by the man who killed Dex's mom. And Matthews reveals it all to Laguerta- that his mom was Harry's CI, and she was chainsawed up in front of Dex and Brian, the Ice-Truck killer. Now that Laguerta hears all that, she thinks it makes perfect sense that Dex is the Bay Harbor Butcher. But it seems like Matthews wants to suss it out first, because he thinks Laguerta will eff it up.
