Glee- So apparently Cassie July was headed for stardom, had a big blow up during a show and tanked her career, so now she's teaching instead? And it didn't hit me later, but the whole line where Rachel and Kurt were talking about how NY Domino's tastes better than Lima Domino's, why the frick are they eating Domino's pizza, when they are in NYC, the good pizza capital of the universe? They could get better pizza at one of the thousand pizza places invariably around the corner from where they live!
Also, I didn't think they'd move forward with Jarley aka Puckelberry 2.0 so quickly. But what the frick, after all that happened in the ep, he was dating Kitty this whole time?! Here's some comments on my favorite numbers from the ep:
Oops... I Did It Again-
Pretty hot. But also kinda gay. Is Rachel trying to seduce Ms. July or something?
Boys/Boyfriend-
Smooth.
3-
Heh, did they really have Tina sing a song about threesomes with Joe and Sam? (And the whole Peter, Paul, and Mary thing, is she advocating the "Devil's Threesome" rather than the other kind?) And its oddly amusing that the "living in sin is the new thing" line was sung by the super-Christian dude.
Womanizer-
You know what, I actually like Wade/Unique's voice. And now that most of the original girls are gone, Tina looks shorter than ever! I mean, she looks down right tiny standing next to Unique and Marley.
Everytime-
So sad.
Comics commentary:
Avenger's Academy- Oh wait, I thought this was the last ish? I guess since it was getting canceled, I thought this was going to be the last story arc. Interesting end though, with Finesse letting Jeremy bleed out. I know she told Laura that she (X-23) had no choice, it was the heat of battle and they had to stop him, but I wonder if X-23 will feel guilty anyways, for something she was unaware she didn't do.
For a smart guy, Jeremy was an idiot. One, for as Finesse said, forgetting that the reason they were all in the Academy in the first place wasn't for the potential as a hero, but because they were one foot in villainy and the Avengers wanted to put them on a more positive path. And two, for babbling on about how he wasn't defeated and that he would prolly get a job from some government manufacturing his power-stripping formula to protect them from super-powered folks. I mean, its dumb in general because what's to stop them from killing you in a rage. But he said this to friggin Finesse, who's all logical and crap. Its like, he made a compelling argument, that yeah, letting him live is dangerous, so they should let him die. And its not like she would have any moral compunctions against that!
Walking Dead 102- Interesting, so Rick told everybody they need to give in to the Negan, so needless to say, his people are pissed. But, it turns out it was all a ruse and he's in cahoot with Jesus to do something. Its odd that he's keeping it a secret from everyone else, even Michonne and Andrea. I'm kinda curious what his plan is, and why he's only using the new guy and why it has to be a secret even to the people he trusts the most.
Hopefully its revealed quickly. Well, one because I don't like things being all drawn out. And two, his people respect him, but this isn't sitting well with them, and while he feels the need to keep them in the dark, he can't do that for too long lest they do something on their own that effs up his plans.
Truthfully, things are too far gone for him to surrender. I'm not sure it would keep his people safe. They've done a lot to the Negan's group, do they think he's going to play nice just because they bowed to him? How do they know he won't go ahead and continue to do horrible things to them?
