TV commentary:

Walking Dead- Its weird they're only bringing up now what they did in like the first or second issue of the comics- to not use guns until you really need to, so your shots don't attract more walkers.

Although on the other hand, they are bringing up the whole stocking on supplies for winter way earlier than in the comics, though in the comics they had a crap load more things to worry about before winter rolled around (speaking of, I'm amused they referenced the crazy snow storm in Georgia from last year).

The cutting themselves to attract walkers is odd. I mean, there was no reason for Rick to do that in the beginning, there were other ways to attract that one walker than purposely bleeding yourself. It was practically headed his way already! I suppose they had Rick do it so Shane had a reason to do it later, where it made slightly more sense- smearing blood on the door jam so they'd immediately go to it, so he could pick them off while they were licking that up,

Still, it seems like a dangerous prospect, because aren't they worried about infection? Particularly if they're getting into melee with the walkers and getting gore all over the place. Zombie guts getting into their wounds is prolly as bad as getting bit or scratched I think.

Speaking of, I wonder if they're going for some sort of foreshadowing when Shane was all, "These walkers have no scratches or bites!" Even though given their state of decomposition, how the eff would you know there were no scratches or bites? And he's no ME, did he do anything more than give a cursory scan?

Owel, more stuff: So that kid went to HS with Maggie, though I guess she never noticed him. He claims he was only with those other guys for protection, he's not really with them, but let's not forget, he got injured because he was jumping off the roof, where he was sniping them from. So he's not exactly innocent.

Can he be trusted? Ida know. He seems like a follower, he probably got in with those guys because he had no one else. If Rick took him in, the kid could possibly not care less about his previous group or harbor ideas of escaping to lead his group to the farm. Then again, he might. Frankly, I don't know what to do in that situation. I'm hesitant to just execute the guy, even though he's a possible threat. Because at that point, once you kill your first live person for your supposed survival, the next one gets easier and easier to justify.

And good to see the youngest daughter really was just in shock. I still think it would have been lame if she got infected. But one thing that has been annoying me about this show is making Dale and Andrea so unlikable. I mean, Dale has some points, but often he comes off as a little holier than thou and a busy body. And Andrea, what a bitch! Yeah, the world sucks now, but she doesn't have to be such a friggin negative nancy all the time. Plus, the whole thing with leaving Beth alone, because everyone should be allowed to make the choice for themselves? I know she thinks she's helping by having Beth work things out on her own and hopefully find a reason to live. But that's a big gamble to make on an emotional teenager!

I hoped for a second when they got to the place where they were going to drop the kid off that they'd just discovered the prison, what with the guys in uniforms and stuff. But though they never really decided what it was, the fact it doesn't have a lot of open space inside the fences rules it out, I guess.

I still hate the farm so much.
