Gossip Girl- Finally!! And I'm not just referring to the Dair stuff, which was great. Nice to see Blair finally realize her feelings. Too bad that effin video is there to frak things up. As I said in
daretodair, I want to hope there's more to the story, particularly since it makes Dan look like a total jerk when he and Blair were talking in the limo after the wedding reception and he was all, "I can't believe Chuck sent that video!" and it just doesn't gel with the rest of his actions and behaviors of the past few episodes. But I'm finding it hard to think of a reason why it came from his email account and he didn't try to tell Georgina any differently when she confronted him about it. Argh, its just so frustrating. I hate to be negative when the rest of the ep was great, but it just tarnishes the narrative of Dan and Blair for him to have done that.
Actually, its less that he would've done that, and more that if he did really do that, we're not seeing him feel the slightest bit of guilt at all for it, particularly with it setting Louis off and causing that whole pre-nup mess. So maybe it is a sign that there is more to the story.
But I digress, everyone knows about real and fake Charlie as well now, so glad to see that ruse is over with.
Hart of Dixie- Heh, the snow sure melted real quick! Glad to see Levon's parents stayed together. I mean, there are a lot of shows when the couple married for years realizes they were never supposed to be together, and they break up, and its supposed to be hopeful that maybe they can still find true happiness after all these years, but its still kinda depressing. So its nice to see after Levon tells his mom to settle for his dad, that true love isn't real anyways, that his parents actually truly are in love and this was just a bump in the road for them. So his mom got back together with his dad, without having to "settle".
And that inspired him not to settle either, so he breaks poor Didi's heart. So he has hope that somehow he and Lemon will end up together. But it seems George loves her just as much. And even though they didn't end up eloping, it was because he wanted to have the big wedding, to see her in the beautiful dress with all their friends and family.
Also, Wade is less of a dick to Zoe this ep even apologizing for his behavior the last couple of eps, and its cute how happy he was to hear that Vet guy wasn't someone she was all that serious about, you could tell he was trying to stop himself from dancing right there!
Pretty Little Liars- Nice to see I was totally right about Paige showing up after the random mention last ep. And what the crap, why is the Wren/Spencer thing not treated with the same taboo as Aria and Ezra? I mean, she's underaged, and he's not. I mean, these shows seem to act like its only an issue if the guy is a teacher. But statch is statch, it doesn't matter what his occupation is! But lots of movement in this ep.
For one, Caleb decoded more of the video, and it wasn't Ali who came barging into the room to confront the NAT club, but Melissa, looking for her. The Liars want to turn her in, but Spencer wants to talk to her first. She tries to, but Melissa blows her off and gets into Garrett's car. So Spence gets pissed (both in the American and English meanings of the word) and throws herself at Wren. But he's a gentleman about it.
Meanwhile, Mona is starting to be harassed by A too, threatening her to turn in Ashley's mom for sleeping with Wilden to get her off of the shoplifting charges. But Mona takes the hit, and this ingratiates her to the Liars, particularly when A says she's not done with her. Of course, it could be a really sneaky ruse if Mona is "A" to get even closer to the Liars.
In any case, the Mona situation causes Hanna to reveal to the Liars the Wilden stuff, which causes Aria to reveal to the Liars that she's still seeing Ezra, so Spencer is kinda pissed since they had been bonding over their loss of Toby and Ezra (ha, it was hilarious that Spencer was all, "Wow, you deserve an effin' Oscar!" because that was kinda of shitty for Aria to lie and fake that) Ezra does end up taking the NOLA job since there's no way he can turn it down without revealing he's still seeing Aria, because there's no other reason for him to turn it down.
So Aria mopes and tells Ella off, thinking she was complicit with Byron about this. She runs to Ezra, and Ella eventually shows up, wanting to listen and understand about their whole thing. She tells them she doesn't condone their relationship, but she wants them all to take a breather before Aria runs off with Ezra and she loses her daughter.
Speaking of the parents, they're getting closer to figuring out things (or at least Ella and Ashley are), what with Ella learning about the note on Byron's car from A, and Ashley finding the police report A was using to blackmail Mona. Hanna's mom confronts Wilden about the report, thinking he was threatening Hanna, but Wilden rightly says, why would he do that, because he'd be effed as much as she would if the truth was revealed.
Also, the Liars pay the phone company dude, who seemingly leads them to a dead end. But Hanna finds out from her mom that Melissa interned at that one law firm. Speaking of Melissa, she's about to tell Spencer a big secret, and the cops come looking for Emily, to tell her some bad news about Maya. We do not find out the news or the secret yet. In the end tag, A's having some target practice, so maybe A's ready to take more lethal action.
