Jan. 10th, 2012 05:19 pmI knew Joyful Noise was in theater's soon, but I didn't realize it was this Friday. That being the case, the soundtrack dropped today. Its okay, though I like the more contemporary/pop songs on it as opposed to the gospel stuff:
There's the Higher medley, which is obviously a medley of songs, including Usher classic "Yeah!" and Chris Brown's "Forever", with the lyrics converted to be more religious. Though honestly, that just made me think of a certain movie that the same thing more than a decade ago. I am of course referring to the best scene in Sister Act 2:
Whatever, that movie was awesome.
Keke Palmer does MJ's "Man in the Mirror", though Glee did that song for sectionals last month. And then there's "Maybe I'm Amazed" by Paul Mccartney, performed as a duet by Keke Palmer and Jeremy Jordan. If there are any other non-Gospel songs on this soundtrack, I don't recognize them. But yeah, this is on me to see list.
