Sons of Anarchy- What the eff, so Jax shoots Opie in the hand before he gets a chance to finish Clay off, and then blames the whole thing on "a couple of black guys". They considered Mexicans, but since they're dealing with the Cartels right now, they prolly don't want to do that. Of course, blaming it on a "couple of black guys" when there actually a couple of black guys who might have enough beef with them to do that isn't too smart either. Particularly since Tig ends up starting a war because he tries to kill one of those guys, but ends up killing the guy's gf instead. Wow, between this chick and Donna, Tig doesn't have a very good track record, does he?
And hmm, the Cartel is all, "Naw, Big Otto didn't flip on you guys!" when Jax hears rumors from the prison and they check their contacts. Interesting, now did Lincoln manage to hide things so well, that even the Cartel's extensive network are clueless, or are the Cartels (or at least Romeo) lying?
But wow, Gemma finally gives the letters to Jax, with her and Unser's culpability in his dad's death removed so it looks like it was all Clay. She works him up, saying how Jax killed JT and Piney and was the one who put the hit out on Tara, so now Jax is ready to kill the guy. But, Gemma taught Tara well, and Tara one ups Gemma by being all, "Oh, here's how you can kill Clay so it won't look like murder!" and then segue into after killing Clay, they're getting out of Charming for good! So now she's in control of Jax.
I'm definitely excited for the season finale. Are they actually gonna kill Clay? Will someone bite it when the people Tig pissed off come around seeking retribution? Will Lincoln show up and bust everyone?
Glee- Heh, I've been amused as of late by the fandom's latest fan-thing, which is Sugar being Santana's and Brittany's daughter from the future. I've gotten hours of amusement on tumblr looking at all the creations involving this. Of course, I also enjoy (though not as much) the further iteration of this, wherein Rory is Kurt/Blaine's son from the future and Harmony is Rachel/Quinn's daughter from the future, and the three of them went back in time to fix some wrong to ensure their parents get together. It works because they really are amalgams of their supposed parents- Sugar definitely has elements of Santana and Britt, Rory does look like a mix of Kurt and Blaine, and Harmony does seem like what the daughter of Rachel and Quinn would be like. I mean she's very Rachel-ish, but with definite Quinn thrown in.
In any case, Rory's okay, and I'd like to see more Harmony, but I hope they keep Sugar. She's an awesome and amusing secondary character.
DW blather: Almost completed all the levels in legend mode. But now I'm up to the levels that take 20-30 minutes to complete because they're so big and you're running all over the place having to do this and that. There's still tons to do though. I should stick with a thing and do it, because I've been alternating between doing a level to have done it, working on getting people's titles/increasing their stats, and getting chaos weapons. Part of me thinks I should get all the levels over with, and then start fiddling with everything else. Because otherwise I'm switching characters left and right changing weapon set ups and wot-not.
For getting chaos weapons, I've been using Lu Bu, obviously. All his stats are maxed, and I have all but his last title. Its kinda annoying that it seems when they decided what title benefits they gave to people it seems set up to encourage using different weapons. I'm fine with getting bonuses for using EX-weapons, because to me, that's the primary weapon they're supposed to use. But people with power EX-weapons getting speed-weapon based benefits or vice-versa? If I'm playing as Lu Bu or Zhang Fei or whatever, its because I want to be using their powerful weapons, not like claws or a rapier. Or if I'm playing Bao Sanniang or Zhang He, it feels wrong to be swinging around a giant halberd or what have you.
I mean, really, since everyone can get 1000 health, 1400 atk, and 1400 def, and you can max out speed and power now so everyone has three stars with every weapon, so now you can use anything to its fullest, everyone's all too similar. Its their particular weapon they're known for (and get a unique EX attack and musou with) that makes them different at that point. So I say they should get even more benefit for sticking with their weapon, rather than getting stuff if they decide to use another weapon.
But I digress, since I have Lu Bu's chaos weapon already and other chaos weapons with high level death element, and his c5 to c6 combo is a quick officer killer even on chaos, he's the guy I can kill with the fastest. Technically, since c5 and c6 aren't Ex-attacks, anyone can use the dragon eye halberd/divine qingang setup and just spam that, but Lu Bu has the added benefit of having a built in synergy seal. So, while everyone else can just get two synergy seals, he can have three.
And I can't believe I spent all of that time playing DW7 not knowing synergy stacked. I mean, its probably because double element doesn't stack because all it did was let you have multiple elements on your attacks, so for some reason I thought synergy didn't stack. I thought all it did was make the element hits really powerful if they were the same. Wrong! It makes normal attacks exponentially more powerful if you have synergy, and even more so with multiple synergy seals. Also, attack maxes out at 1400, so there's no point in having att+ seals after you hit that, BUT, synergy and officer assassin do still provide benefits beyond that 1400 attack, so basically I have Lu Bu with 2x Officer Assassin, 2xElemental Atttack Up, and 2x Synergy (making it 3x Synergy for him) and everything he hits dies, even on chaos.
I haven't played on nightmare yet, and I keep hearing people on the boards saying, "Oh, its impossible to get this or that nightmare weapon!" But on the other hand, I come to find out, some of these people tackle nightmare without being super powered-up, so of course they're gonna get destroyed. So I have no idea if I'm good enough to get the weapons or not! I mean, I have to complete all the stages on chaos before I can even unlock the ability to get nightmare weapons on nightmare, but I've only been chaos to get the chaos weapons (and I'm not gonna finish the level if I fail to get the weapons!) so I'll have to wait until I get all those before I can see what it will be like on nightmare.
