So the Thousand Pounds team decided to do a little fight scene inspired by Arkham City. I guess the chick is trying to be all Catwoman and stuff:

I think its pretty neat.

TV commentary:

Glee- Heh, I can't believe that Finn vs Santana argument is still raging on. Was what Finn did dumb and ill-advised? Yes. But is it unforgivable? No. Nor does me not hating Finn make me "anti-gay". My brother's gay, and I've always supported the LGBT community. Finn made a mistake (albeit a pretty big one) saying what he did in the middle of the hall. And honestly, I don't even think he was trying to be malicious either. Yeah, he was striking back at Santana at her relentless bullying, but its not like he was trying to be all, "Oh yeah, at least I'm not gay!" He shouldn't have called her a coward for not being out, because that's her prerogative when she's ready to be out and proud. He was coming from a place of anger and frustration, but I think he thought he was helping her by zeroing in on why she was such a bitch (I mean, everything he said about her, she said about herself last season when she poured her heart out to Britt) and if she could come to terms with that, she'd be happier and wouldn't take out her unhappiness on everyone else.

On the other side of the coin, Santana is a mean bitch, but she in no way deserved what happened. Of course, I'm not a vengeful person. I get angry (especially on the road), but I don't hold real grudges. Like I joke about hating Chase and Amp and Brian Rodriguez (Ha, me and my fake names for people, the latter two are thinly veiled, so by process of elimination, one can figure out the first) but I don't actually wish for something really horrible would happen to them. And as much as I hate to say it, being outed in HS is pretty bad. It shouldn't be, and I can't even conceive of how people could hate someone for their sexuality, but people, especially punk high schoolers are judgmental pricks.

While we're on this subject, here's my story of why I stopped hating people even if they were a-holes to me. So, my nemesis throughout elementary and the first half of high school, let's call him Braeden. Man, he really tried to make my life miserable. I think mostly because I always stood up to him. I've mentioned how he once followed me home from school, demanding I respect him, or else. (Or else what?! He may have been bigger, but I felt I could take him)

Anyways, one day, on the bus, this old lady gets on, but she doesn't have enough money, and I saw him give her the extra change she needed to pay for the ride. Yeah, it was a small gesture, but I thought it was nice. And I realized, these bullies are people too. I was only privy to the a-hole side, but I'm sure to others, he seemed like a perfectly fine person. Like that old lady was thinking, "What a fine young gentleman!" And all these dicks and c-words in high school, I'm sure to a totally different audience they were nice, normal people. And I thought, hey, if they're at least decent to someone, then they can't be all bad, that's enough for me. Do I wish they were nicer people? Definitely, but I'm not going to begrudge them for not being nicer, I can only hope they get over whatever is making them pricks so they wouldn't make other people miserable.

Dynasty Warriors blather- I actually haven't gotten a chance to play XL since my last post, had dinner with the ex-roomie and C-note (the ex-roomie made homemade Korean tacos again) played a game of 7 Wonders, than, Wednesday night TV. But I do have some more initial impressions.

I've actually only played Xiahou Dun and Wang Yi so far. Xiahou Dun, because I wanted to try out his new weapon. Its way slower than the sword, but more powerful and better range. I think I may have preferred the speed. Particularly since its harder to infinite juggle off his C5 once they're dead to increase the combo count and get a better stat drop. Well, that and his C2, its a swing upward to knock them in the air, followed by a quick swing that knocked them down. His C2 with the original sword was way better. The C2 knocks them in the air, wherein he follows them up into the air and whacks them back down. At that point, you could do a normal attack to hit them again while you're in the air, followed by his air musou. Its a nice little combo that he can unfortunately no longer do.

Wang Yi's pretty cool, she's relatively fast and has a decent moveset with her sai (or whatever the hell they're called here) I'd definitely like to play around with her more.

So do you have a favorite character of DW? Based on any particular criteria you want to use?

Wait, of the entire series? I've always said my top favs were my Wei Warriors Three- Xiahou Dun, Xu Huang, and Zhang Liao, but also Zhou Tai, Ma Chao, and Lu Bu.

If I had to pick one, its probably between Zhou Tai and Xu Huang. They both look bad-ass to me. When I first saw the DW games, and saw Xu Huang, he was the first character I really wanted to play as. And then DW4 came out and Zhou Tai looked so awesome.

But, Xu Huang seems to have the better moveset and more well rounded stats. So I guess Xu Huang would be my number 1?
