Catherine could be a Captain
Nov. 16th, 2011 09:08 amIs it Catherine Obvious or Katherine Obvious? I mean, I myself normally prefer the name spelled with a K (because its Kate or Katie, not Cate or Catie), but for the purposes of "Catherine Obvious", I think a C is more appropriate, as Captain also starts with a C. Like Fringe and French Benefits.

Glee- Concerning Kurt's vow to ban dodgeball if he's made student body president, I've always found it weird that TV and movies will claim that dodgeball is a horrible activity that is like sanctioned bullying or something. Really? I never got that impression at all. See, its no secret that I suck at sports, I can't play baseball or football or basketball to save my life. But to me dodgeball was simple, hit the guys on the other team with a ball, and don't get hit yourself. I never felt like the more athletic kids in class had an advantage over me and it just felt like a way easier game.
Of course, as evidence that I carry a lot of ridiculous, inconsequential crap with me to this day, I still regret missing out on a big hero moment during one of the games I had to play for gym. So anyways, there was a loose ball rolling towards the other team, I noticed it and did a quick dive to grab it, which I did. I was so focused on that that what I didn't notice was the best player on the other team had also run up to it, ready to grab it. I look up, and he's just standing there, frozen, because I had him dead to rights. I coulda just bounced it off his head and been the big hero of the game. Unfortunately, my mind didn't process that I totally had him there, so I just walked away with the ball. Argh! Heh, also, see why I keep saying this particular depression comc is so apt for me:

I do that all the time. Well, not mope in bed. But I will constantly kick myself for foolish and embarrassing things I did years ago (even though most of the time, no one even remembers those events but me) and call myself an idiot or moron.
