Vampire Diaries- If there's one thing you can say about this show, its that its full of attractive people. But if there's something else you can say about it, stuff happens! Where to begin? Klaus and co. show up rather quick, grabbing Elena, forcing Stefan to slaughter a couple of randoms, then hybridizing Tyler to force Bonnie to figure out how to break the curse.
Which she does, thanks to Matt pulling off an insanely boneheaded move of drowning himself to speak with Vicki (since Katherine had grabbed the Germ on her little road trip with Damon) . Vicki passes along a message from the original Witch, something I thought we already knew, that Elena should have died during the ritual, and that's what screwed things up. BUT! Klaus comes to the realization that the original witch (who Elena and Kat are possibly the Doppleganger of?) hates him, and that's a lie. And it is, just like Klaus' blood heals a werewolf bite, Elena's blood stabilizes the hybrids.
So amusingly enough, the gang actually helped him trying to save Elena's life, because that was the OW's failsafe, to break the curse, he needed to kill the doppleganger, but he needs the doppleganger's blood to make his hybrids. So by keeping Elena alive, they gave him an opportunity to make his hybrids.
So yeah, Tyler is a hybrid now. Also, Klaus and Beks blew town without him for some reason, though they did grab a couple bags of Lena blood. And they left Stefan behind to watch over Elena. Who is now the evil brother, thanks to an extremely strong compulsion by Klaus, which seems to have broken something in Stefan.
But yeah, given how guilty Damon felt for leaving Elena while all this was going on, and being all caring for her when he came back, and Stefan acting all dickish at the Manse, they've apparently switched places!
And what of Kat and the Germ? Apparently Pearl knew about Michael (no guest appearance from Pearl ghost, she told Anna), who is apparently a vampire who hunts other vampires. So Kitty-Kat wants to use him for leverage, despite Anna's warnings that that would be very foolish. Of course, finding him seems to have been ridiculously easy- he was in torpor in some random tomb in Charlotte! We end the ep with Kat and the Germ disturbing his tomb and waking him up.
