TV commentaries:
Vampire Diaries- I'm amused that I feel Katherine can fool me into thinking she's Elena, since this is a TV show where the characters are played by the same actress. But like I said, its a credit it to Nina Dobrev that when she does Katherine pretending to be Elena, you can believe Katherine was just doing a really good job of playing Elena, as opposed to Nina just playing her as the Elena character.
But poor Anna, Jeremy shutting her out like that there in the end. Of course, throughout the ep, I was thinking the Germ was practically cheating on her the way he was hanging with Anna.
Other developments. So Alaric is on the council now? Well, he basically tells Mama Mulva and Liz that he's on the council, since they can't be trusted since Caroline is a vamp and Tyler is a werewolf, and they're friendly with the other supernaturals in town as well, who will always look out for themselves. So, they need someone on the council who knows everything that's going on that will keep the people's interests at heart.
So Damon almost kills HRG, but Caroline saves him. Too bad that's just not enough to convince HRG she's still his daughter and not a monster. Or rather, that he can ever really trust her. So, he just leaves. Which is better than him dying I guess. I was pretty surprised her survived!
Speaking of Damon's attack, he also "killed" Alaric to stop him from stopping him. Which is why Alaric is kinda pissed at Damon. (Although amusingly enough, Damon had brought him back to the Manse and had a drink waiting for the guy for when he came to) Damon is pissed at Elena, because she more or less admitted to Caroline she's attracted to Damon, but for her to live with herself about it, she needs to turn Damon into a better man. So, instead, he goes off road tripping with Kat.
Who, while in Chi-town had killed Gloria to save Stefan, then tricked Bonnie into thinking she was Elena to get a hold of Rebekah's necklace. Wonder if she knows its importance?
Because the Originals aren't sharing with Stefan. And Beks proves to be really good at reading Stefan, and outs him as hiding something to Klaus. So, Klaus knocks him out and takes him back to Mystic Falls!
IASIP- Okay, I forget which one of them tweeted last night that this is prolly the darkest ep they've ever done, and they even outright said on the show, this is the darkest thing they'd ever done, and it kinda was!
