geebsMore Glee rumination, specifically the new characters.
It sounds like Sugar was well received, if the boards were any indication. She's amusing enough, and I thought Vanessa Lengies was kinda cute since "Stick It".
I'm assuming Marcus will end up being the same character he was on FNL and Cougar Town, nice really big guy of few words?
The Skanks- Despite me saying she looked familiar in the last post, I actually haven't seen the Mack in anything. Apparently she was a SYTYCD person? But I actually had seen the other two chyx in other things. I suspected Sheila was Teddy's friend Ivy from "Good Luck Charlie" (whom I've always thought kinda looked like Mercedes) and it turns out I was right! And I can't believe I didn't recognize Ronnie at first as Cherita from Donnie Darko/Mandela from the TV version of 10 Things I Hate About You. But re-watching the ep I realize now that's totally her.
Harmony and the NYATA prospects- Okay, they explained why that one kid was named Gavroche, but I'm missing the reference/joke for Pendleton and Canada. As for Harmony, played by the Glee Project's Lindsay, wow! She only came in third place? Because dang, she's set the bar pretty high for the other winners. I remember when they announced the winners, they said she and Alex would get to appear in two eps, while Samuel and Damien get 7 eps each. I can't speak for the others, but from what I've seen so far, she's too good to be relegated to just two eps, I'm sure they'll bring her back for more.
Granted, she didn't really get to test her acting chops, but she could give Lea Michele a run for her money singing wise. I mean, she would make a perfect rival for Rachel!
