Jul. 30th, 2002 12:28 pmHome again, listening to the new Linkin Park. The obsessive-compulsive in me was starting to break through after noticing all the dust. Luckily, I found a new duster under my bathroom sink ironically gathering dust. So I did a little dusting to stop my OC side from having a panic attack. Anyways, I'm perturbed by the set up of Krug's entertainment center. If you're watching TV, you can't listen to a CD, watch a DVD, or play a video game. Granted, we only have a dreamcast hooked up and only one game (soul calibur) but not being able to do multiple things at once is frustrating. At least I can watch and surf at the same time. But it would be cooler the way it was set up at my old place. I could play a video game and turn on PIP so I could watch TV at the same time. And since
psyched_out's stereo wasn't hooked up to the TV or PS2, I could put a CD in also. Back when I was still in college, I had my desk in my dorm room set up so I could watch TV, listen to a CD, and use the 'puter at the same time. Alas, I had no DVD player or game system hooked up to the TV, nor did that TV have picture in picture. I one day hope to be able to combine everything. Computer by the entertainment center, DVD, TV and video game system set up so you can listen to a CD on the big speakers and still be able to get video input into the TV. I can't help it, I need electronic stimulation from multiple sources! At the very least, I want to be able to play a game and listen to a CD at the same time. Hmm, now that I look at it though, I might be able to remedy the sitch.
Oh, and while PVR is cool, I still wish PIP would work. You know, that way you can watch two shows and switch to the relevant one when there's a commerical.
