Glee- New York! Heh, how is it a secret that Rachel wants to go to NY when she graduates?! Isn't that the logical next step for her? But really, she was struggling whether to choose Finn or NY?! If she really did pick Finn she's an idiot! Even though after she and Kurt did "For Good" from Wicked and she was all, "Okay, I'm an idiot, its the stage of course!" , I was suspicious that she'd waffle and be mooning over Finn at episode's end.
And then when they're about to perform, he's all "I don't understand, all you've ever wanted was to be with me..." WTF?! Someone thinks highly of himself! And then she was all "this is my dream, nothing you can do make me change my mind!" Between the one little snippet from the preview last week were Jesse was all, "Woah, was that scripted?" to Mr. Schue, and when their number started and Mr Schue was all, "Couldn't stay away from this, or her?" to Jesse, I figured Finn was gonna kiss her on stage. But ha on everyone being all confused and Mr Schue having to be the one to start the audience clapping. Awkward!
And Finn being all, "It was the kiss of the century!" and like a jealous idiot when Jesse was all, that was pretty unprofessional and it wouldn't fly well with the judges? I was hoping those words rung true for Rachel when they didn't place in the top 10 and she would come to her senses and dump his doofy ass. (Apparently not, but more on that later!) It was hilarious that the rest of the club was pretty pissed and blamed them as well. (Though not that mad!) But hey, 12th place out of 50 isn't too bad! Particularly considering this was their first time at Nationals, and they kinda half-assed things- they didn't even start writing their songs until they got to NY, and they weren't that good either. (Though was Sunshine's song supposed to be an original also?)
I was confused about that though, were they just posting the top 10 teams to show who would go on to perform again? Or was that how they really announced the winner? Because that seemed so informal and anti-climactic. Particularly since the earlier rounds they had the teams on stage and announced the top 3 like you would a normal contest.
It was interesting to see the Cheerio girls have a moment there, with Santana and Brit trying to convince Quinn not to eff things up. Then Santana was all, "I know what would make you feel better!" and Quinn being all, "Well, I'm not really into that!" HA!! And no, just a haircut? Boo! That woulda been awesome. (I was also amused that while the boys were just lounging around in their room, the girls were having a pillow fight. I knew that always happened!) Though Quinn does look pretty cute with that 'do.
And woah, Mercedes and Sam are secretly dating?! Now that was a huge surprise! I mean, they did have a moment there at prom, but they didn't address it any in the next ep, so I thought nothing came of it. Apparently not!
Santana and Britt aren't together by ep's end, but they do admit how strongly they feel about each other. And it was nice to see Kurt and Blaine all happy with Kurt dishing about the trip and Blaine dropping the L-word.
But ugh on Finn and Rachel getting back together, him being all, "So, what are you doing until graduation" when she tells him she's leaving for NY and never coming back after graduation. Though that was kinda a funny kinda burn there, where she admitted the kiss was worth losing, but only because they still have one more chance at winning Nationals. So, heh, if it was their senior year, then she would've been pissed as hell if that kiss cost them the championship?
