So, saw Limitless this morning with the ex-roomie, then went to Cinco's for lunch. However, we did not know they served brunch on Sundays. And I totally stuffed myself ill. Had stuffed potatoes, bacon home fries, bacon, sausage, french toast, lots of smoked salmon, eggs benedict, a chicken enchilada and a steak fajita. Hey, its a buffet, I wanna make sure I get my money's worth!

Onto the movie. It was okay, perfectly enjoyable if you ignored some of the more glaring plot holes. Note, I will be referring to Bradley Cooper as Will throughout the following commentary, as that's mainly what I think of him as, Will from Alias, just like Elena's dad will always be Sark to me, and Arvin Sloane will always be Arvin Sloane and Vaughn is Vaughn, Marshall Marshall and Dixon Dixon. Strangely enough, I don't think of Jennifer Garner or Victor Garber as their Alias characters though. But I digress.

So here are the main holes I can think of:

1) Where the hell did Charlotte Charles' brother get the stash of NZT, and why was the he only one who had any? Its seems Will success in this movie is not just the fact that he started getting on NZT, but that he apparently had the only NZT left in the world. I mean, it seemed like he was the only one who thought of reverse engineering the stuff so he'd have an unlimited supply (or as we found it in the end, get a "permanent" dose so he no longer needed the stuff but stayed super smart). I suppose the other people didn't realize the lethal side effects once they were off it, and were somehow short sighted not to ensure they had a steady supply regardless of these side effects. I mean, they knew they'd have to keep taking it to stay super smart, so even not knowing they'd die once they ran out, you'd think they'd want to make sure the pills were always available so they could stay at that level.

I mean, sure some may not have thought that big or long term (highly unlikely if the pill makes them so smart), but that rival company guy definitely should've. It sounded like he'd been on it for 2 years. He never thought of doing what Will did, particularly since he's so damn rich and powerful?! He wouldn't have bought the pharmaceutical company making it?! It seems getting to that company would have been a more fruitful endeavor then sending your personal thug all around the city hunting down that last bag!

2) They had that Russian Loan Shark guy get on it to have a more immediate threat, but the way he got on it was silly. Its like, he's beating up Will for not paying him back yet, and he finds the pill in Will's hand. So he decides to take it! Who the frick would randomly take some pill they found in the hand of some guy they were beating the crap of?!

3) Will would be off the NZT at inopportune times. Its like, he knows when these meetings are, why the hell would he not take one as soon as he knew he had to meet Deniro or whoever?!

But like I said, if you ignore that silliness, its still an entertaining movie.
