Well, my ignoring was more esoteric
I had gotten some new sneakers over the weekend because my old ones were falling apart. But they're so friggin' white! Oh, and as I was walking through the mall, this lady at one of the kiosks was tryng to give me the hard sell on some soaps and cremes and wot-not. In Fight Club, when the narrator said Tyler was selling the soap to those department stores for a steep price, and "who knows what they charged their customers", I thought that was an exaggeration. But the lady was trying to sell me an effin $60 bar of soap!! I mean, do these fancy soap companies think a bar of soap is worth $60?! And who are these people who buy $60 soap?! How excessive!
TV commentary:
Interesting House tonight. The Cuddy stuff was way more intriguing than the CotW though. I mean, how in the world did it take them 45 minutes to figure out the daughter had the same thing as the Dad? They were both creepy robots with minimal affect!
But yeah, the Cuddy stuff was heartwrenching. After the baby was born and she was painting that room, I was all, "Frak, either the baby is gonna develop complications and die, or the girl is gonna take it back". And sure enough, it was the latter. The whole thing was all messed up anyways. I mean, when it got to the point where it was the mother and the baby, and then House started playing mind games with her, saying she was choosing to deliver the baby early in some twisted attempt to kill the baby because subconsciously not ready? That's a pretty effed up thing to tell someone. Ida know, I thought she was worried it would be transparent if she did the whole keep the mother on blood to allow the babies lungs to grow. So when she did go with the plan, that's what the girl thought!
And then the girl wanted it out of her, because its not her baby anyways, but then she wanted it back in the end. So House comes to visit her and she tells him she's given up the whole adoption thing because she doesn't want her hopes up again only to get crushed again. Heh, and then he does a 180 and tell her not to give up and she'd make a great mother, pissing her off. Because why is he always contrary. He doesn't know, and they make out! I don't ship Huddy or anything, but its not like I don't get giddy at moments like that (because I'm a poofster dandy or a 13 year old girl or whatever).

Speaking of heartwrenching, tonight's Privileged was full of emotion. Let's get the b-plot out of the way first. Yeah, Rose and Sage kinda missed the point of the volunteer work, but they did get the heart of the assignment, to give the girls great dresses for prom.
Speaking of Rose though, I can't believe it took me so long to figure out the whole being curious about Megan's dad was her projecting. And she did realize that Lily had stolen her bracelet, but lied because she want Megan and Lily to reconcile, and didn't want a thing like a stolen bracelet to derail that. But wow, Lily is pathological! I mean, even when they got her dead to rights on stealing the bracelet, she still tried to lie her way out of it. That's insane! (And indeed gutsy to wear at the house you stole it from, regardless if the owners were gonna be there or not!)
But I like that that both Megan and her family are at fault for the problems between them. I mean, her family does have faults- Lily is effed up. And while their dad has gotten better, he was no cup of tea when they were growing up. But their strained relationship seems so circular. Megan didn't want the family to know she was in town, and I find it hilarious that when she finds out her father knew she was in town and didn't go see her, she's all upset. She just doesn't see how judgy she can be. At the same time, I was glad to see neighbor guy was around when Lily was revealed to be a thief, because while he did call her out as miss judgey-judge, she did have a reason to be that judgey.
But the craziest dynamic is between Megan and Charlie. I mean, I can see his frustration at being stuck as the nice guy friend who's in love with her and she's oblivious. But at the same time, its not like she's knowingly using him. She has no idea how he feels. Even if he's frustrated with her, he's still supposed to be her friend, so its kinda a dick move just to hang her out to dry and cut all ties with her. At least he could tell her why he's so mad then. If they're not gonna be friends anymore, at least tell her why. He might actually get her then! But his current way, he's already lost her!

On 90210, I've said this before, but seriously, is it me, or is Tabitha turning more and more into Lucille Bluth every ep? I mean, other than the fact she was actually complementing Aunt Becky, her mannerisms were very Lucille tonight. I have to call shenanigans though on Naomi not knowing Adrianna had ODed and had to go to the hospital. I mean, they said a few days (or was it a week) had passed, and even if she wasn't speaking to her, I think it would've trickled through the grapevine to her.
Speaking of Adrianna though, this whole thing with Navid is like out of left field. I guess they were needing something for him to do, and there haven't been that many eps, so its not like we know any of these character's back stories all that well, but of all the characters who've gotten more than an episode of screen time, they're two of the ones who've had zero interaction with one another. But suddenly they're like, "Oh yeah, Navid and Adrianna used to be best friends, but then they stopped hanging out after she got a sitcom." I was gonna say, given Navid's father is a pr0n king, you'd think her parents would be worried about their daughter hanging out with that guy's son to "make movies", but then I remembered what her mother was like.
And I think its kinda refreshing that instead of Naomi getting all catty when she saw Annie and Ethan dancing, she told her straight out that she would be uncomfortable if she and Ethan started going out, given her history with him. Sure, its not as fun, but that whole thing can get repetitive after a while when you watch as much TV as I do. Of course, Naomi and Annie haven't been friends long enough for Naomi to be all, "BFs come and go, but friends are forever!" You're hardly friends. And Annie points out, if she really believes that, why was she gonna wash her hands of Adrianna. I get that she's tired of seeing Adrianna make a mess of herself, but if she really thinks friends are forever, they stick by through thick and thin. As Annie pointed out, even if she's scared to be around and witness Adrianna totally self destruct, would it really be okay if Adrianna was out of her life and then she heard something awful happened?
Oh, and the thing with Kim and the teach is totally inappropriate. I get she's an undercover cop and thus not really jailbait, but that doesn't mean she should be overtly flirting with a teacher!

On NCIS, I find it kinda hilarious that Tony was all incensed that the rocker chick was all into Gibbs and not him. Oh, and what was with her being all, "Oh, you can tell I like you?" Geez, she was so obvious, the only way she could be more overt is if she took her clothes off and started rubbing up against him! But I did find it clever though, with the whole set up of the last video and how Gibbs was supposed to be the weapon. I mean, when they stormed in, it was pretty obvious she was a pawn and it was set up to look like she was about to kill the guy, but I didn't realize that was the meaning of having Gibbs' image in the video at first.
But speaking of, I can't believe they didn't realize the Loomis guy was gonna be a victim and he was poisoned! I mean, it was totally obvious before they even started interrogating him that there was something wrong with him.
And wait, was Ziva's bikini picture really Mcgee's screen saver? I guess he didn't erase the pics, but I figured it was Tony framing him, but neither Ziva or Mcgee even entertained that thought!
