'cause i've seen the dark side too

I was pleasantly surprised this morning to see not just the two weekly Glee song downloads up I was expecting, but five! I mean, I was all ready for "Endless Love" (awesome!) and the mashup of "Young Girl" and "Don't Stand So Close To Me" (and I guess it makes sense that they would change "get out of my mind" to "you're out of your mind" because it would be totally inappropriate if she was in his mind), but they also had "Crush" (the Jennifer Paige one, so, again awesome!), and "I'll Stand By You" by the Pretenders and Paul Anka's "You're Having My Baby". The latter two are done by Finn, with Rachel doing "Crush", Will doing the "Young Girl"/Police mashup, and Will and Rachel doing Endless Love (which makes sense, since they're the strongest overall male and female lead singers, respectively, even if its kinda creepy since he's a teacher and she's a student)

Had this weird dream last night where I was hanging out with my ex best friend before 6th Grade who became a kinda enemy for a while, but then I hadn't heard anything about him until he facebook friended me a few months ago. Anyways, he was always into cars, which was good, because these Triad guys started chasing us, so being in a riced up street racer was helpful. We eventually made our way into a military base, because we figured the triad guys wouldn't try anything with a bunch of soldiers around.

So we made our way to the fancy Officer's mess hall (whatever its called) and hid out there, but the Triads were crazy enough to try something. I disarmed and knocked out three of them, but the fourth had my ex-friend's gf hostage (some made up chick, she was Asian, and I think he's married to some non-Asian chick irl). But it turned out to be okay, because they were chasing us because they wanted to get some magical amulet to me to give to Constantine, whom I apparently knew. Only instead of being played by Keanu, it was Dennis Leary.

TV Commentary:

House- Ah, so this is the ep Cameron leaves (not only quits the group, but divorces Chase too!), but House gets 13 and Taub back. It was weird that Taub didn't want to go back, since I thought his whole impetus for quitting was that House was gone. I guess they're saying he got comfortable back in plastic surgery?

Weird, was that the first time Cameron outright said she loved House? I mean, they made it pretty obvious that she did in the first couple of seasons, and there were times when they wondered if she was acting a certain way because "she was still in love with House" but that was other people saying that, not herself.

HIMYM- Okay, it was totally obvious that the whole Scuba thing was a ruse, and that his actual trick would be to make Lily think she was successful in stealing his playbook and would end up talking that one chick up to him. I wonder if Barney-Robin shippers are mad though, because he also talked about losing his mojo because he's not totally ready to go out there after breaking up with Robin and made it seem like a lie.

Gossip Girl- Ah, at least we get an ep of Blair and Dan kinda interacting, even if she was just trying to clean up his threesome mess so it didn't mess up her chances to get in good with those snobby theater folks. But interesting, so Duff is leaving, and apparently its Dan who's really crushing on Vanessa, not the other way around? Hmm, I dunno about that. While I'm fine with Dan and Serena never getting back together ever, and I actually thought it would be interesting if they went with her and Nate, I'm not sure how I feel about Dan and Vanessa. I like them as friends, but gawd they'd make for an obnoxious couple. I mean, they're both so judge-y to begin with, and its one thing for two close friends to be ranting about some hippie crap and acting all pretentious and holier than though to other people, but a couple doing that is so much worse. It'd be like Ted and whatever Donna from that 70s Show character name was on HIMYM. They'd become even more douche-y than they already are. That's why I'm still pushing for them to get with Blair and Chuck respectively, as that would seem to even all four of them out.

But it was weird to see Chuck acting all big brother-y to little J, since they're first real interaction on the show was him trying to rape her. And what was up with her texting that diplomat son guy in the end? Sure, she's hot jailbait, but why the hell would he want to do anything with her ever again. First off, she's jailbait, second Chuck threatened him to stay away from her and threatened to out his drug dealerness to his father. And its not like she did anything to make him have a good time. She spent the whole time he was doing his secret drug deal sulking about what a boring loser he was, and then at that club she acted totally bored and didn't want to be there!
