In Canada, that's called a sneaky snowplow

TV commentary:

Gossip Girl- So Lily finds out Rufus and Bex dates, do she says they should do a sex-list to get it all out there. Everyone says its a bad idea, and hasn't she seen enough TV and movies to believe them? So of course, her list is way longer than Rufus', so she only gives him half of it, so he's fine until he finds the other page. But they make up in the end. I was gonna call BS on Rufus not getting a lot of tail given he was a rock star, but I guess they do explain it by saying he was this big girl who was hung up on Lily so he was turning down the groupies.

Nate reconnects with the Vanderbilts on V's encouragement, but when she finds out he might be skipping out on backpacking through Europe this summer for an internship at Mayor Bloomberg's office, she is of course mad. Of course, I know what I'd pick. I mean, the internship would be a great opportunity, and he'd get to hobknob with big government types. Who wants to go around a bunch of countries were no one speaks English, living in hostels (where you could possibly die a grisly death!), possibly getting framed for smuggling and thrown in a Turkish prison? Nate makes the same choice, and V is disappointed. To her credit, she's not as overly-bitchy as she usually is, and Nate does have a point, his family is trying to mold him yes, but so is she. He doesn't even know what he wants out of life, so how can Vanessa be so sure its not what he wants? So they're on a break, and its an interesting that she and Jenny can talk about it civilly, though it does look like little J would prefer to crawl in a hole than hear about their relationship.

Blair's thing with Carter is short-lived. Serena quickly blackmails him out of town, but he's all, he's just a symptom, not the disease, and Blair's downward spiraling on her own. They try to find Blair and think she's going to some freaky sex party she and Carter were going to go to, but she was actually just going to beg the admission's dean of Sarah Laurence to take her in. They do not. So she gets drunk and tries to have hate sex with Chuck and she's becoming the female version of Chuck, so Chuck puts a stop to it because he doesn't want her that way. So she gets even more upset, then starts having eyes for Nate again, because now that her life has fallen apart, seeing Nate at his family estate, once again the golden boy, brings her back to a time when everything makes sense. So he takes her home, and spends the night. Unfortunately, Chuck heads over to "fight for her" against the darkness threatening to consume her, and sees Nate's jacket in the foyer.

Interesting, so next week, it looks like Jenny's having a sweet 16, and Chuck and V are trying to stop Nate and Blair from hooking up. Ida know, after Dan and Blair, I've said Chuck and Vanessa would be interesting to see.

Chuck- Hmm, so mebbe Orion isn't Chuck's dad. Especially if he's dead now. Though we don't actually see him in the helicopter, and we never really got a good look at him anyways. For all we know that guy was just a proxy, and the real Orion is using that opportunity to make everyone think he's dead. In any case, Chuck is left one of those "if you're seeing this, I'm dead" DVDs and Orion tells him to study the blueprints for the intersect Fulcrum is building, its the key to getting it out of his head. So, would it be uploaded into the new intersect? I assume he would at least make sure the Government got control of it first before he uploaded it.

But ha, Chuck finally sees the General live, not on TV, and is all "She's small!" I don't think she's that short, its just he and Casey are really tall, and Sarah is tall herself. It is interesting though, she doesn't want to let Chuck go, because in all her years, Chuck's the only who's even come close to doing anything significant to Fulcrum. So even if he isn't a true trained spy, he's an invaluable asset.

Heroes- Heh, is it me, or was the whole scene when we first see Micah a total waltv('Damn!') moment? I mean, that was kinda hysterical to see him again, and then hear the deep voice when he called the cab. But as many people guessed, he is Rebel. Interesting, while they've depowered Peter (making him only able to hold a power at a time) and Hiro only has his time freeze ability and not his teleporation back, Micah and Parkman's powers have greatly expanded since the beginning. I mean, Micah seems to be able to do it at range now, and it seems he can easily and quickly do a lot of stuff. As for Parkman, it seems like the mind control thing comes pretty easy to him now.

Speaking of, I had a feeling it was a fake out when he first showed up in Paris (before they made it obvious with the flying thing), and the doctors weren't able to save her and it was a whole fake mind world thing. Kinda sad to see her go, but like she said, the whole thing was kinda forced. Oh, and the whole Parkman being on TV thing, wasn't that a day or two ago at least? Why the hell is that the only thing on Matt Jr's (well, technically Janice's, I guess) TV? Its not like its breaking news! Oh, and now that Hiro has the time freeze thing, why doesn't Ando start trying to see if he can rev him up and maybe jumpstart the teleport thing back?

24: Alas, my firearms knowledge is still lacking, as I could not tell what kind of assault rifle Jack was using at the loading docks. I mean, its obvious its an M4-based design, but which company? Someone smarter than I could prolly tell from the buttstock, as it doesn't have the standard M4-style collapsible buttstock. I've seen it before, but I don't know off the top of my head. I did notice the top picatinny rail had an Aimpoint red dot sight (alas, I couldn't tell you what model) mounted on the front, plus had the 3x magnifier on the snazzy flip mount. I always thought that was a cool set up. Reflex sight for quick target acquistion in CQB, but if you need to do some short-range sniping, flip the magnifier in front of it and take the shot!

Anyways, I'm not sure the shootout made sense. So Tony had the MP-7, while Jack had the M4-type carbine. Why was Tony being the one to cover Jack?! Jack had the better weapon for that. I mean, its got the range on the baddies, so it would make more sense for Tony use that to cover, and for Jack, who started sneaking around the containers and if he met any resistance it would be at close ranges, to use the MP-7. Also, if they were wanting to steal the truck so they could use that to get away with the bio-weapon, why would they shoot at the guy driving the crane? They didn't have any backup and they were outnumbered. I thought the idea was to pin the opponents down long enough so they could get to the cab and drive off? So shooting the guy loading the container before he's actually put it on the truck kinda defeats the purpose!

Anyways, nice to see Larry and the Feebs actually do good forensic work and figure out Jack is innocent. It also helped that Renee actually talked and didn't keep the pertinent info that could exonerate Jack to herself. I mean, it was kinda retarded for her to take so long to tell Larry. I mean, what is there to think about, there is no advantage and that point to playing it so close to the vest. I can understand when Red was still alive, because its not unreasonable for them to fear for his life when they learned Jack was heading to his house. But after he was shot, she should reveal everything they were working on!

I'm also confused about Rory Cochrane's character. He's Jon Voight's assistant, but it seems like he's not a true believer. Like he's going along with everything, but every so often he makes this face like he doesn't want to be doing the things they're doing. Is that what they're going for?

Oh, and heh, it looks like Renee is rubbing off on Jack as much as Jack is on her. Tony's too hard now, all "he was dead the moment he stepped out the door" about the security guard. And it was kinda hilarious how they set up the forced drama with the guy all, "Oh, my wife and I have been trying to get pregnant for years, and now she's finally pregnant with twins, and I was only helping them for money to pay off the debt we incurred trying to make it happen, and I didn't know they were terrorists, I though they were just smuggling electronics from South Korea". I mean, that's a lot of back story for a one shot character who was only around for a half hour.

They did show him run off, so maybe he survived. And he still has a role to play. But anyways, back to Jack and Tony, Tony was all, there's nothing you can do to save him, you have to think of the greater good, but you know it was his conversations with Renee that he was mulling over in his head before he finally decided to take the guy trying to execute the security guard.

But looks like Jack was exposed to a bio weapon. WTF, though. he sees the big gash in the truck, see stuff leaking out of it, and he sticks his head in? I mean, he held his breath when he came in through the back to seal off that one leaky canister, but why the hell didn't he do that or at least cover his face when he looked through the damaged container!
