You're the funniest guy I've ever seen, or my name isn't Dale Earnhardt
Had a follow up Doctor's appointment Monday. They wanted me to see them again after finishing up my meds, so I set one up, not knowing I'd be able to get an appointment right after work, which was convenient. But I had worn my "Trust Me, I'm a Doctor" t-shirt that day, not knowing I'd be going to the Doctor's offices, a fact I only realized as I was walking into the medical center. I was a little self conscious, I dunno if they'd be offended or something, but the nurses found it funny.
My blood pressure went up noticeably from the last time I was there, which baffled them. Not sure why, hopefully its a temporary side effect of the meds. Owel, was waiting in the exam room for a while, so I read a magazine of Porsches, then wiki-ed various models. Like, what niches were the now extinct 944s, 959s and 928s supposed to fill? I also find it weird in terms of 911 power, its gt3, turbo, gt2. Why is the gt2 more powerful than the gt3, it has a smaller number? Then again, the gt1 is the race version, so its going in reverse order? I dunno, I think the turbo looks purtier than the gt2, even if the latter is "better".
Monday night TV commentary:
So its Thanksgiving on Chuck, and just when Chuck thinks there's hope for him and Sara, Bryce shows up alive! And they finally answered my question over the whole Casey thing, so Casey did outright say he shot Bryce, and Sara, thinking Bryce rogue was fine with it? But Chuck only now found out.
Heh, and we end the ep on a cliffhanger, does Sara stick with Chuck by answering her product placed I-phone, or does she go with Bryce?
On Heroes, Niki returns to Micah all, "I'm sick"! So he goes to give her DL's medal to give her strength, only to find out his goofus cousin took his backpack to price some 9th Wonders comics and got robbed. Though it was hilarious to see Micah try to beat up someone. So, he and Monica team up to try and get it back. The way Micah says he talks to these machines makes me wonder if his power works like the Ex Machina guy. Anyways, they mess up and she gets captured by the thugs. Guess she should've done a little more training before taking on the challenge.
Heh, as an aside, she was watching a parkour video to try and break into the house, but to me, the person in the video looked like they had a pony tail and a gas station attendant uniform on, so for a second, I thought she was watching a clip of Ninja Warrior/Sasuke with the gas station attendant guy.
Bob gives the Bennets HRG's ashes, and tells Elle to stake them out. Claire, West, and the rest of the Bennet clan eulogize him on the beach, in accordance to what they think his dying wishes may well have been. She does not lament the Lord taking her dad like he did so many other bright flowering men at Khe San and Lan Doc and Hill 364. But I digress. Afterwards, there's this hilarious scene where Claire spots Elle watching them while slurping down a big gulp. Elle makes this hilarious "Oh shit!" face and tries to attempt to drive off, spilling her slurpy all over herself. Its a nothing scene, but I thought it was amusing. Alas, Elle and Claire don't have a cat fight on the beach, getting all wet, ripping each others clothes off and leading to sexy results. But they should've! Instead, Claire tells Elle she's going to reveal her secret to the world so they never have to run again!
We also see a little of Elle and Bob's dynamic, and given Elle's a crazy-hot sociopath, you'd think Bob would be afraid of her, but it seems like she's just like any other girl, looking for her father's approval. So he's kind of mean and manipulative towards her.
Sylar teaches Maya to control her power on her own, acting all creepy seductive. I can't believe she fell for that, how are people ever blind to his obvious serial killer mannerisms? He's definitely pretty slick though. Alejandro shows them a paper on how Sylar killed his mother Audrey, but Sylar uses it to bond with Maya, all "it was an accident, she came at me, blah blah, I'm a misunderstood monster!" And Maya's all "me too!" He drives a further wedge by telling Maya her brother hates her because she killed his wife, and she eats it up. So she tells Alejandro to go home.
He doesn't, and instead tries to kill Sylar, who kills him instead. He distracts Maya by turning on the charm and making out with her while her brother's body cools in the next room. Then they go to NY and Sylar drops in on Molly, but non-threateningly for now, since Maya still thinks he's not a psycho killer. He gives Mo, who was on his way to give Niki a Mo/Claire blood cocktail to cure her, a call, freaking him out. Where the hell is Matt, they just leave Molly home all alone?!
Hiro learns of Adam's origins, and how he got locked up trying to release a deadly strain of the Shanti virus, and learns his dad and the other founders may not have been very nice. He finds out the virus is being stored in the Odessa branch of Primatech Paper, and goes after it, believing Adam is going there as well. Its odd they used a different actor for young Sulu. I mean, it takes place in 1977. How old was young Hiro in the flashbacks? It can't be more than a decade afterwards. Yeah, its thirty years ago, but the difference in looks between Sulu fifteen years ago and thirty years ago can't be much different from him now and fifteen years ago! i.e., thirty years is a long time, so he would look different, but then why did they use actual him for a few years later from that point?
Adam and Peter go visit the last of the twelve, Victoria Pratt. Peter goes in alone, and gets some false info, and Victoria follows him and see he's working with Adam. She shotgun blasts both of them, but apparently she doesn't know the extent of Peter's powers. So when she goes to head shot Adam, Peter stops her. Apparently shotgun blasts to the head will kill him? Now is it any head shot, or does it have to be powerful enough (i.e. a shotgun blast at close range) to do massive damage to the brain to kill him permanently?
Anyways, they learn where the strain is being held, and Adam unties Victoria in such a way that she can escape and try to shoot Peter so that he has an excuse to execute her. He does, and as soon as Peter is out of sight, he does the blood symbol thing on her picture.
They go to Primatech, and Hiro freezes time. Peter is unaffected of course, and instead of telling Peter the deal, Hiro's all "Adam killed my dad, I must kill him!" forcing Peter to defend someone he thinks is his friend. Why does Hiro continue to insist on charging from far away? He did the same thing with Sylar! He knows both Sylar and Peter are bad-ass, use some teleporting and backstab them! Anyways, the ep ends with Hiro charging and Peter "charging" up and getting ready to blast Hiro.
Ha, my boss was just telling me as I wrote this up that "Sun's here" to install some stuff, but I thought he said "Sanjeer", so I was thinking I needed to be on the look out for some Indian IT guy or something.

from the way micah described what he was doing, i assumed he had some kind of "machine empathy" (i think that is a skill from the rpg paranoia)... which i guess is kind of a bullshit power in the first place since machines don't really have feelings, but whatev.
