Went to the Artuzzi's Italian Kitchen at "The District" for dinner last night with the usual suspects. Judging from the atmosphere, I'm guessing its owned by the same company that owns Moe's, Boneheads, Doc Greens, Mama Fu's, and Shane's Rib Shack? Its the exact same set up. I liked what I got, the Piccante pizza. But its kinda overpriced for the portions you get!

Owel, yesterday, decided to look up Devil Kings on wikipedia. Not out of any desire to play it, I've played it once before, and the Warriors series is far superior. But I know its also based off that same time period as SW, and its only in America that they changed the names. The Japanese version keeps the original names, so I was curious as to the analogues. Date (azure dragon), Oda (devil king), Sanada (scorpio) and Noh (lady butterfly) are obvious. But apparently Iron Ox is supposed to be Honda and Reaper is Akechi?! Talk about totally different! Ah, and Bramble and Lark are supposed to be Toshiie Maeda and Matsu?

Is it me, or does TV Squad's Brigitte kinda remind one of Alexis Bledel? They're very similar physically. And she kinda talks like Rory does.

Thursday night TV commentary:

Why do I still watch this show? Its so sub-par! But part of me is all, I've stuck with it this far, might as well see it through. And Lana is very pretty. And evil!! I know she's doing these bad things now to supposedly protect Clark, but the show is trying to make it seem as if she's as shrewd and devious as the Luthors used to be. Though I do like it when she's trying to act evil, all smiles and charm as she's lying to your face. Even though its obvious she's the cat that ate the canary. Still, kinda HOTT! But really, if she was trying to get rid of Lionel to protect Clark, why not just outright kill him and use the money to properly dispose of him instead of leaving him in a Misery-type situation?

Owel, my other favorite part of the show is reading too much into things and pointing out how much of a dick Clark is to Chloe. This ep, we get an early start, as Chloe's moping at dropping hints that she's secretly miserable, but oblivious farm boy is too self-absorbed to bite, so she finally has to outright say that she and Jimmy broke up. Prick.

Interesting implications on the Office. We've known Jim's wasted on Dunder-Mifflin the whole time, but we haven't visited that fact in a while. From his Second Life character, we can tell he's not happy at the paper company (save for getting to work with Pam. And prolly hassle Dwight), and wants to be a guitar playing sportswriter in Phillie. When he thought he couldn't get Pam, he moved on, and was moving up. But then when he and Pam hooked up, he went back to his old job. (Though I guess he did get a pay raise and change in title)

And its not just Jim. Pam working feverishly at the animation for the commercial shows she wants to do more than be a receptionist also. And its this whole thing where they have these dreams, but they're sticking where they are because not only is it comfortable, but its where they both are. I guess they can just take the leap, both quit to pursue their dreams, but I guess they're worried they might drift apart? And from a show standpoint, being two of the main characters, they can't exactly quit.

I suppose this will be where the eventual PB&J conflict will come in. Because you can't have a show without the couple having conflict.

I heard on the news today that Jin from Lost was arrested for drunk driving recently. Given the last three cast members arrested for such a thing were killed off, are they gonna kill off Jin now? And what's with them all drunk driving anyways? Is it because they're stuck on an island with nothing else to do? I just realized as I typed that that that's the whole concept of the show, isn't it?

well people were already murmuring about jin possibly dying in mid season 4. this would seem to clinch it, if you're superstitious.

Heh, I was reading geebs' office commentary then looked down and thought you said "Jim" instead of "Jin." I was thinking "geez that'd be kinda morbid for a show like the Office."

lol, how great would that be. maybe they could switch writers briefly.

Lark and Bramble, hah! I remember them from playing the game. I actually stopped playing it way before I got anywhere near completing anything at all. I do like the style of the SW series better I guess.

Devil Kings would've been a more decent game had they left the names alone for the English version.

I might get the second one if they port it and if they leave the names alone. I may get it anyway, but not for a while (unless of course it takes them a while to port it). Meh. I'm more looking forward to DW6 and, way down the line, SW3.
