good move, Mr. 14b!

Wait, Frasier is an executive producer on Girlfriends? I find that very weird for some reason. Anyways, hit Cumberland mall for lunch, bought some pants, read the latest season 8 buffy comic. I think it does well in comic book format. Its been an interesting set of guest stars so far. Amy, the Inititative part deux, Ethan Rayne, even Warren! What the!? I think the series has actually been quite edifying. It'll be nice to see where it goes.

Anyways, had class, partnered up with [livejournal.com profile] clevemire in lab, and we like totally got done before everyone else.

Thursday night CW programing commentary. As [livejournal.com profile] phatjoe was saying my commentaries have been more summaries than commentary as of late, and the following are very summ-acious, but mostly because I've been typing it up as I watch it. Its like, am I trying to be like TWoP or something?

We start with Helo infiltrating the underground facility. He mows through Lex's security like a hot knife through butter. Apparently, he generates a field that makes him invisible and bulletproof? He gets up to Lex and takes his gun away. But its of course just a test of Helo's capabilities. Then Lex says to cycle in some fresh guards and to do it again. I'm sure those guards and thinking, "Gee, thanx, boss!"

So getting shot turned Lana ultra creepy? Anyways, Lex meets with Senator Burke again, who tells Lex he's shutting down project Ares. Lex says that would be ill advised, but the Senator fires back an equally ominous threat.

Lionel is in his office watching the tape of the phantom attacking the aussie couple. Apparently he sees Kryptonian symbols somewhere. The phantom's face perhaps? Anyhoo, Clark shows up demanding to know why Lana married Lex when she said he was leaving him. Lionel of course, gives him no useful answers.

At the Talon, Chloe's mopey about Jimmy being gone. Lois tries to cheer Chloe up, but sucks at it, so she goes to do some investigative reporting on the Senator. Then Clark appears and pissily asks Chloe the same thing he asked Lionel. She's only slightly more forthcoming, hinting that if Lana married Lex, she probably has a good reason for it.

Lois meets up with the Senator and basically accuses him of taking bribes. When he orders his guards to drag her off, Helo shows up and kills the Senator and his guards. (he apparently has super speed also?) He was about to kill off Lois, but apparently she recognized him?. They were army brats together when they were kids.

Everyone's thinking its a mob hit, but Lois, having been there, is skeptical. She knows it was Wes, but when Chloe does a lookup, she finds the same thing Helo's wife found two eps ago, that he supposedly died in a helicopter crash. Anyways, Lex's people point the evidence towards the mob, but Lex is displeased to learn there was a witness, so they send Helo to take care of it.

Lois goes to stay at the Kent farm, and asks Martha to use her senatorial connections to try and get a look at the rest of Helo's file, which is classified. Apparently her dad wouldn't help her. (Speaking of her family, they should bring Lucy back, she's hot!) Anyways, when Clark and Lois are alone, Helo attacks and sends Clark flying through a wall. He's about to kill Lois when she calls him by name. So instead, he absconds with her.

Clark gets with Chloe who's no closer to cracking into Helo's files. It looks like Helo has powers of several of the Kryptofreaks Clark has fought before. Ridiculously, Chloe informs him she did find a name connected with him, "Jodi Keenan". She's all, guess who she's married to? Ida know, she has the same last name as Helo (here called Wes Keenan) so I wonder?! WTF?! Anyways, he goes to talk to Lana about it.

At the Luthor manor, Lex's head of security informs him "the asset failed to return". As he goes into the hall to talk about it, Clark sneaks in all, "I need to see you" and she's acting like, "We can't" even though you know it makes her all hot to be wanted. But he tells her its about Lois and they have a corny conversation where Lana tells him about project Ares (Clark: "That's the god of war") and how Lana heard Lex's man talk about an asset (Clark: "That's what the military calls soldiers"). Ugh, talk about clunky dialogue! Then they do the whole meaningful glances and all "I know more than you think" thing.

Helo and Lois are off somewhere. Helo doesn't remember her, but she tells him how she knows him. Apparently, Helo was her first kiss! And the place they're at is where they first kissed. It looks like she's able to jog his memory and snap him out of it. Back at the lab, Lex is pissed because they can't find him. Well, duh, that's how you made him! He puts the screws to the doctor who repositions Luthorcorp satellites to try and get him back. Back at the warehouse of first kissage, Helo recounts how he came to become a super soldier- apparently his convoy was hit by an IED and then Lex shows up telling him about Project Ares and how he can continue to serve his country. Of course he's all "This wasn't what I signed on for!" Alas, their bonding as temporary, as the satellite makes him revert back to his original programming of trying to kill her.

Martha's able to get the rest of Helo's file, and they figure out where the warehouse of first kissage was, some military base just outside of Metropolis where Lois's dad used to be stationed. Clark just manages to get there in time. They tussle, and apparently Clark's heat vision can crack through Helo's protective field. bv('And then he died, and then he died') Wes is all "Don't let them make more of me!" and Lois is all sad while Clark watches creepily from the shadows. Wait, wasn't Helo married to some other woman?! Who died a couple of eps ago! He didn't even mention her! No, "Tell my wife, I love her!" What a jerk!

Wait, back at the farm the next day, are they trying to do some anti-war commentary? Clark: "All he wanted to do was serve his country, but all he did was end up being a pawn!" What the?! Anyways, Clark is all, "Can't you do something mom?" And then Lionel shows up all, "You can, and that something is running for Senator Burke's now vacant Senate seat!" Clark's all "Yeah!" but Ma Kent is all "What about the farm?" Wait, if she's a politician now, and Clark's about

At the Luthor manor, Lex calls Lana on listening in on his conversations. Lex creepily says, "I don't know what I'd do if you ever betrayed me!" To which Lana hilariously replies "I'd never hurt the man I love!"

Anyways, we end with Lois all pissed since they absconded with Helo's body and covered the whole deal up. And at the lab, he asks the doctor to figure out what went wrong. The doc says they used up all the stuff they harvested from Titan, but Lex says he's got a source lined up, and is all Project Ares is just beginning and shows all the people being experimented on in the lab. That would be ominous if they didn't show that the exact same thing a couple of eps ago!

On Supernatural, we start with Sam and Dean driving up to some diner, where in Sam leaves to get some pie. Dean's lounging in the car listening to tunes when he notices some EMF interference on the radio. He goes into the diner gun drawn, and finds the occupants slaughtered, Sam missing, and the tell tale smell of sulfur.

Sam wakes up in ghost town and bumps into the previous fellow psychics we've seen. He sees Andy first, who can not only send thoughts into peoples heads now, but images too. When he meets Ava, he informs her she's been missing for 5 months while she only thinks she's been missing for a couple of days. She asks about her fiancee, who she thinks must be freaking out. Before he can tell her his throat was cut and make things all "AWKWARD!", they hear some more people.

There meet a couple of the other psychics. Wait, I think one of them (a soldier who was stationed in Afghanistan) is Voodoo Tatum! One of them, Lily, is kinda pissy because her power is that anyone she touches hearts stop! So she doesn't think having powers are cool. Anyhoo, Sam breaks the whole "they were chosen by the demons to be their soldiers in the big apocalypse", and they're skeptical. Voodoo particularly, but then Sam whacks a creepy demon girl in front of them, so they're more willing to believe him.

We find out why Lily's so pissy soon afterwards. Because apparently she accidentally killed her LESBIAN LOVER with her power! She runs off into the woods to try and get away. And ends up getting hanged from the windmill in the center of town. Anyways, Andy figures if he touches something of Dean's (heh!) or rather something Dean touched, he can send him a message. Sam gives him a receipt Dean signed "David Hasslehoff". Which reminds me, I know they're trying to be clever and referential, but why would you use celeb names when committing CREDIT CARD FRAUD?! Do they wanna get caught?!

On Dean's end, he teams up with Bobby to find Dean. Ash and Dean talk on the phone wherein Ash tells him that he's figured something out, but he can't tell him over the phone and to come to the roadhouse. They do, only to find it burned to the ground! Ellen's not there though, but Ash is apparently dead. Which reminds me, what's with the lack of Jo, did Alona Tal have scheduling conflicts or something? Anyhoo, he gets Andy's vision, which is of Sam and of the oak trees and big bell in town. Bobby apparently knows where that is.

We soon learn Voodoo's power is super strangth, and then Sam finally breaks to Ava that her fiancee is dead. So she's all distraught. Alas, Sam doesn't comfort her, if you know what I mean. Sucker. Ida know, I always thought she was kinda cute. I was disappointed to learn she used a body double in Freddy vs Jason. Anyways, yellow-eyed demon shows up in Sammy's dreams revealing to him this is a competition. He only needs the one, so only one of the kiddies will survive through to the end. Apparently, yellow-eyed demon is telling him this because he's his favorite. Sam's all, "You killed everyone I loved!" Dude, I think you're brother is still alive.

Anyhoo, yellow-eyed demon shows him a flashback of the night his mother died. Apparently, he fed Sam demon blood in the crib, then the mother walked in on them. But she recognized the yellow-eyed demon. Sam jerks awake before he sees his mom get immolated, but learns Ava is missing.

Anyways, Voodoo and Sam go looking for her, leaving Andy alone. Ava shows up and apparently has the power to control demons now. She kills Andy and starts screaming, acting like the damsel in distress. Sam quickly sees through it though. She's the only one who claimed to have "lost time". Ava has apparently flipped her lid. In the 5 months, other peeps like them have been showing up in this ghost town, and she's been killing all of them with her demon control power. I don't think she was homicidal at first, but I guess after months of this, she eventually turned dark. She tells Sam how easy it is to go from the crappy "psychic dreams" power to something cooler like demon control and is about to summon a demon to kill him when Voodoo snaps her neck like a twig. (Blast!)

Sam says they have to leave, and Voodoo's all "what's this 'we', white boy?" Yellow-eyes has been talking to him to, and told him what's up. Voodoo thinks if he wins, he can get close to the demon and possibly kill him. Sam's all we can work together, but Voodoo doesn't know him from jack and says he can't trust him. So instead, he punches Sam and sends him flying.

I'm not sure how Sam can realistically win this fight. Yeah, he's got some fighting skills, but not only does Voodoo have super strength, he's a trained soldier. But Sam manages to get him down, but stupidly doesn't finish Voodoo off. So when Dean and Boddy show up immediately afterwards, Sam gets stabbed in the back. And apparently dies, and Dean cradles his body all "NOOOO!!!"

class?

Well, its for work. I mean, it was optional though. But it is actually real world useful, its a 40 week course to become a Cisco Certified Network Associate.
