Owel, came into work at noon after having a pre-op physical in the morning. It sounds like it went all right. Speaking of doctors, what is the normal choice of doctor gender for guys and girls? It seems like chyx would want chyx, but what to dudes choose? Ida know, even though my pediatrician was a dude, I feel more comfortable with a female doctor.
Wednesday night TV was the best it has been in a while.
Where do I begin? Seth/Summer? Awesome! Seriously, those two are so cute together, from the exchange in the student lounge to them dancing in Seth's room at the end. Summer agreeing that Seth was sweeping her off her feet? I know, I know, I'm such a girl. And what the hell, that's the second week in a row with that Ryan Adams cover of "Wonderwall". As people have said, that song isn't old enough to warrant covers yet.
And Seth was back to the way he was, not the dick he's been these past few eps. And Summer? Yowza! Very foxy throughout the whole ep. I was a little skeptical about a few things though, mbbe its because I can be a judgemental chauvanist. First, Summer tries to get the high score in Galaga? And second, she's a virgin? That was my favorite exchange of the night:
Summer: "You weren't the only virgin in the room that night."
Seth: "You mean, there was someone else in there, like filming us?!"
Although I guess I did kinda get that virgin vibe back when Marissa and Luke first did it and Summer was telling her it get s better. But then the way she threw herself at him during Christmukkah? I figgered she wasn't.
And does no one lock their doors in the OC, or do people just barge in? Like Seth going to Summer's room. Did her parents or the help let him in? And what, they were just, "Oh, yeah, our young teenage daughter is in her room by herself, why don't you go up there unescorted and unannounced, horny teenage boy!" And I don't think he's ever been there before, considering he's never seen Princess Sparkles, so I can't see any reason for the parents to just let him in and go there and not even tell Summer she has a visitor. Same with Summer! The Cohens were getting frisky in the bedroom. Did she just show herself in? I guess Marissa does it all the time.
But woah, how many times did Ryan dis her that ep? Wow, I don't think I've ever seen someone shot down so many times in a television episode. But what does she expect, she dumped him! And she was complaining to Sandy, "He thinks I abandoned him!" Well, you did!
Speaking of Sandy, he's very fatherly. I mean, who gives meaningful advice to their sons' girlfriends? First Anna, now Marissa? Then again, both relationships ended soon after the talk.
And why exactly can't Jimmy and Hailey go for it? Because she's Kirsten's sister? Because he used to babysit her? Its not like she's still under 18 or even 21, she's a grown woman!
Speaking of Kirsten though, she was looking really hot and milfy this ep! As was Julie. Which brings me to my second favorite exchange of the night, after Luke tells her whenever they played Ultimatum and choose which one of your friends moms you'd do, she always won:
Julie: "I beat Kirsten?"
Ha! I guess she really is jealous of her. And how funny was dorky Luke? Making up lame excuses to see Mrs. Cooper. Thought that was a weird form of flattery. You were always the coolest mom?! You let us listen to cool music and watch R-rated movies? What is he. 12? But Julie starting their affair to Bob Seger's "Night Moves"? Ha! I don't think its that squicky, but then again, I'm a guy. And not too out of the blue. I thought they weren't above doing something like that the way Julie kept trying to push Luke on Marissa and feeding him pancakes and wot-not. But anyways, Kansas has goofy teenage boys too.
Clark was as goofy as Luke was on the OC. But why? He wasn't this akward, even around Lana. Owel, stalker girl was hot. Though I'm not sure why she went after Lana. Clark and her talked like once in that whole ep! You'd think she'd be more mad at Chloe for helping Clark sucker her.
And thanks Bo, for cock-blocking your son! Don't people ever knock?
Papa Luthor was back. He's scary evil! I'm surprised he even let Chloe go to that field trip. I wonder if that elevator was meant for her?
Okay, an Angel with him turning into a puppet may sound silly, but it was actually kinda hysterical. Fred thinking he looked adorable, Angel and Spike frolick-fighting, Lorne calling him "my little prince", werewolf girl almost eating him. And her thinking she ate him. Ha! And side of boob shot! Risque. Between this and the first ep she was in, they have no qualms about getting her naked. Nice continuity there though, with the girl in the end being her niece and all. But yeah, Angel was indeed very puppet-like, especially when he went into the hyper puppet rages. Very Grover-ish!
And wow, Fred hooking up with Wes? i wasn't too into Fred/Wes, not that I thought there was anything wrong with it, mebbe it was a little hard to watch because it hits a little too close to home. But thank goodness she kissed him, I was going to be peeved if they were going to stretch this whole him being totally oblivious for another week, especially since I'd be gone. I mean, missing the whole, "Sometimes you're looking right at them" comment?! I was screaming, you idiot! Same with the whole deal where she asks for a ride home, because she wanted to drive home with him, and he calls her a limo!? Argh! Thoug it looke like the happiness is short lived, according to the previews.
Oh, and while I think Amy Acker is totally hot, what's with the short skirts they put her in? It barely covers her vagina! Who does she think she is, Paris Hilton?!
