Finished up my x-mas shopping yesterday. Had dinner with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
psyched_out and the little lady last night at Wolfgang Pucks. Obviously, I got the salmon pizza. I should really try something new. Talked about their upcoming trip to my old stomping grounds. And "grown up" stuff. Ha! Damn, it was cold last night.
Got back and the guys were playing cards, of course. Watched some Degrassi on the Nogin. They've been having this triangle for the last couple of weeks. You know me and triangles, I was immediately drawn in. One would think I'd hate triangles, given the number of times I wasn't even a point in the triangle and I still somehow got affected. But I still find them fascinating. Anyways, Andy came into town around 1am and we joined the guys for some poker. Krug spotted me $5 for some general play, but I eventually busted out. Omaha and its variations are a little too confusing for me. There's too many cards for me to make an accurate assessment. But then they had a no-limit hold 'em ("the only pure game left", ha!) tournament. Now that's a game I'll play. Krug paid for my in, and I ended up winning. So, even after he took his cut for the two times he fronted me, I still made a little cash. Its the first time I've ever been up in Poker! But yeah, started putting the tips I've been getting to use. Played smarter, and stopped trying to chase pipe dreams.
