TV commentary:
Breaking Bad- Heh, just started on season 5. After the stuff Walt has pulled throughout the seasons, I can no longer tell if he's being sincere anymore, or if everything he says is a manipulation to get people to do what he wants.
Continuum- Is it me, or is there so much stuff going on in this show now? Its like seriously, last week had Lucas sabotaging Sonya, now he's seeing Chen's ghost. Chen, who apparently shares the same tattoo as the freelancers. And Kellogg spies that Emily is working for Escher.
Speaking of, they still don't know Gardiner's dead, but at least they finally acknowledge he hasn't been around in a while. And hey, they finally addressed the issue of Travis' CMR. Like they had him get a shock in the ep with Kiera's partner, but that was like several eps ago! And brilliant move turning it on guys. I mean, obviously he doesn't have access to Alec's network, but it seems like the CMR still provides several distinct advantages. I'm also confused, is it only Travis who has one, because of being in the super soldier program? I figured it was standard issue to all soldiers. I mean, if you give it to all the cops, why wouldn't you give it to the soldiers?
Dexter- Woah, I totally guessed wrong. At the beginning of the season, they had some previews for the rest of the season, one of which had the scene where Deb was all, "I wanna confess!" I figured it was tricksy promos, and like she was gonna confess to shooting El Sapo or something. But nope, she wanted to come clean about Laguerta. Luckily, Quinn just thinks she's being all boozy, so he calls Dex, who has told Vogel about the whole thing. Again, not sure I trust her, and Dex basically left her handcuffed at Vogel's in the hopes she can talk her down. He thinks that's a good idea, what with Vogel being all, "Oh, you're the perfect psychopath, don't ever change!"
The Fosters- Ah, my guess about Callie was right! The relationship with Liam wasn't consensual, given he's over 18. So its stach, and he's preying on his new foster sister. Anyways, Callie's keeping mum because even though its the guy taking advantage of her, its her word against his and it can have serious negative consequences for her. She tries to warn the other girl, but she says she'll deny it and it'll just make Callie look bad. But thank god she finally tells Lena and Stef. Hopefully they'll get things done.
But wow, that Lexi storyline took a crazy turn. She ends up running away because her parents want to send her away to boarding school. And very tricky there, making it look like Mariana and Lexi were still on the outs, and she was going to see her mom, but apparently she was cahooting with Lexi. At least they're friends again. Even though Mariana was being a total brat in the beginning. Like really, comparing Jesus not being able to see Lexi to her not being able to see Lexi when she and Jesus were going out?! That was her own fault! She chose not to see her friend, which is a far cry from getting her in trouble with her parents and them preventing her from seeing Jesus!
But yeah, what the eff, so it turns out Lexi and her family are undocumented, which is why they didn't want to file a police report. But Jesus overhears, and he tells Mariana, and they convince her to come back. But yikes, she uses the fact they're undocumented to blackmail them into not sending her away.
And hey, Jude (The Beatles, something old people listen to, HA! Although its not like the Beatles were contemporary music when Lena was a teen!), seems to be making a friend, so at least that was a cheery storyline.
