TV commentary:
Glee- Wasn't feeling tonight's songs. Well, except for Gwyneth Paltrow's rendition of Conjunction Junction, but that doesn't count. Actually, I felt her cover of "Forget You" was fine, but it seems a lot of people were mad that Glee did that version instead of the "Fuck You" version. But what do they want, its a prime time network show. Would they rather have done the normal version of the song, just with lots of bleeps? "Make 'Em Laugh" and that Chicago (the musical, not the group!) were fine performances, but the songs are kinda lacking without the visuals. And the Umbrella/Singing in the Rain mashup, as some people have said, I would've been fine with them covering either song, but mashing them together was kinda blah. The separate parts sounded fine, but like last week's mashups, they just don't sound all that good combined.
Heh, in any case, it seems a lot of people were offended by Gwyneth's bi-polar joke at the end, as well as the fact that Mercedes storyline revolved around food. Oh, and when Gwyneth described that Cameo chick as "an attractive Biggie Smalls". Hmm, Karofsky threatening to kill Kurt if he outs him? Kinda dramatic for this show, but I think its realistic.
Sons of Anarchy- Ha, I'm amused Jax and Trinity are taking this whole almost committing incest thing in stride. Seriously tho, Trinny being all "We almost had sex!" and Jax joking "You say that like its a bad thing!" WTF! Sure, she's hot and all, but that's your sister!
Does it make me a bad person that after Tara promised to save Salazar's girlfriend if she let the administrator lady go, that when they both had their hands full with the chick's body, I was thinking they coulda popped Salazar in the head and gotten the hell out of there? I mean, the guy had just kidnapped her and her boss, and held them hostage unless the Sons murdered and robbed someone. And he had just beat an old guy to death not a day before, and that's not even the worst thing he's done. But I suppose its bad karma to parlay like that and then just renege on the deal, then that would make you just as bad as them.
But oops, Jax tries to do what he thinks is right for Abel, and it blows up in his face. That poor couple, they were nice people who gave money to homeless people! (In all seriousness, though, that was a little silly. I mean, I already get they were nice people, way better an environment for Abel than being raised by a biker gang, but the scene where Jax sees them giving money to that homeless person and them looking all sad was a little too much!)
