Today saw Ninja Assassin with [livejournal.com profile] sparkyboy, [livejournal.com profile] durlxnemesis and his bro D. Not too bad. It had some cool looking action. Surprisingly gory too, but I guess it was rated R. Wasn't expecting that much blood and dismemberment.

TV commentary:

Glee- It was an okay ep. Again, unsure why the release of "Papa Don't Preach" was the same length as what they had did on the show, a little over a minute. I had talked about why it (and "Sweet Caroline" from a few weeks earlier) wasn't the full version when we got a full version of Crush when it was hardly on last weeks ep. But then I just realized they had released a full version of Mercedes doing Dionne Warwick classic "Don't Make Me Over", when that wasn't even in this past ep! Well, they played the tune in the background in a couple of scenes, but Amber Riley never sang it on the show! cliffv('What's up with that?!')

Speaking of, her singing along with the deaf kids on Imagine, I didn't think it was incredibly rude. Well, it was at first, but if the deaf kids were cool with it (and it did seem to be a cool bonding experience between the two groups) I don't see why everyone else was bent out of shape. Well, no one on the show was, but it seemed a lot of viewers were. Heh, between that and Mercedes telling Puck to keep away from Quinn (it really isn't any of her business), she sure is taking a lot of heat from the fandom.

Speaking of dislike, agree with a lot of the pro-Rachel folks about how again she's getting dumped on for no reason. Didn't like how Kurt was incredibly bitchy to her. Yeah, she can be selfish about the solos, but when it comes to everything else, she's there for everyone, even people who have been horrible to her in the past like Puck and Quinn. But this was even worse because they act like she and Kurt were never friends at all and she was just barely tolerated by the rest of the club for her skills. Given how everyone was there for Quinn, can't believe they would really treat her in that way.

In any case, Sue was indeed leaking the set lists to the competition. I hope they stick to their guns and not cheat even though Sue wants them to destroy the club. I mean, it seems like the deaf kids got along well with New Directions, and Eve seems to be a nice lady, so I can't believe they would go along with such nefariousness.
