Where to begin on this week's Lost? Let's start with the island. Jin isn't with Rousseau and the other Frenchies for too long before they get attacked by the smoke monster, and Montand loses his arm as Rousseau told the Losties long ago. Well, in a previous ep, obviously its in the future at this point. Anyways, the rest of Montand is dragged into a crevice under what is possibly the Temple, and her baby's daddy and the rest of the team go into the crevice to go get him. Jin stops Rousseau from going in (hmm, is that the way it always happened so that she didn't go nuts like the rest of her team?), but disappears soon afterwards.
He flashes forward and heads to the beach to find Danielle's team dead, and her and Robert in a face-off. Rousseau's scared of him, and he insists he's fine and normal and all that jazz, and that the smoke monster is only a security system for the temple, and he can trust her. So she lowers her weapon, only to have Robert try and shoot her. But she had done that same firing pin trick she did long ago (arg, in the future) so he's unable to shoot her, while she pops him in the head with her own gun. She sees Jin and chases after him, since disappearing Asian guys showing when your husband and his friends go nuts and try to kill you are quite suspicious. Luckily, Jin flashes and hooks up with Saywer, Locke, Juliet, Miles, Charlotte, and Daniel.
So they get to talking, and Jin is obviously confused, so he goes to the Freighties wanting someone to translate since his English isn't all that great. Heh, they assume he's talking about Miles because he's asian (Miles is all "I'm from Encino", but you'd think he'd also bring up the fact that he's not Korean!), but he out Charlotte as knowing Korean. They head to the Orchid, but there's a rapid succession of flashes, and the redhead with the really blue eyes is unable to continue.
Locke wants to leave her, but Daniel decides to stay with her. Before they go, she ominously warns Jin not to bring "her back", as this island is death. We have no idea who this her is though, whether we're to assume she means Sun, or they're doing the tricky pronoun thing to refer to someone else, like his daughter (that he doesn't know he has). She also tells them to look for the well. After they go off, Charlotte confesses she grew up on the island as a little girl, and she remembered a crazy man warning her to leave the island and never come back, whom she thinks was Daniel. Anyways, she and her mum left before the purge, moved to England, but whenever she brought up the island to her mom, she was all, "That never happened!" So she became an anthropologist to somehow find her way back to the island. And then she dies.
At the Orchid, Juliet jinxes things by saying, "Thank goodness we're here at a time where it still exists", so of course they flash and it all disappears. But Locke finds the Well Charlotte mentioned. Before he goes down though, Jin tells him to not bring Sun back and to give her his ring and say they found his corpse washed ashore. Heh, weren't Juliet and Sawyer there for Charlotte's warning? Jin doesn't want to risk his wife's life, but they're fine with Jack and Kate risking their lives?
Locke's only half way down the well before there's another flash (which seems to emanate from the well) and the well closes up above him, and he falls the rest of the way, either impaling one of his legs, or shattering it so the bone sticks out. There he bumps into Christian, who's all I didn't say, the island needed to be moved, I specifically said YOU needed to move the island. Locke's all, "But Ben told me I had to lead the others!" to which Christian replies, "since when do you listen to Ben!?" The wheel is off axis, so Christian makes Locke crawl to it and fix it and set everything right. Just before he flashes, Christian tells Locke to say hello to his son, but doesn't say who his son is before Locke disappears.
Back in the real world. Sun pulls her gun on Ben, and he stops her from gunning him down by being all, "Jin's alive, and I can prove it!" He goes into the whole we have to go back to the island schpeel. Kate gets really pissed and drives off with Aaron, while Sayid says he's gone too. He takes Jack and Sun to see someone. On the ride there, they get into an argument, where Ben is all, "Eff you people, I'm trying to protect you!" They calm down a bit and let him continue driving, with Jack confessing to Sun that he feels its his fault Jin died, since he didn't let the chopper wait for him.
They arrive at the church, and Ben gives Sun Jin's ring, that he got from Locke. Heh, so Locke never did break his promise to not see her and tell her Jin's still alive. But it is revealed anyways. They also bump into Desmond, but fortunately, Penny is not there for Ben to gun down. Desmond is all, "Are you here to see Faraday's mum too, brutha?" So they all go into the church and sure enough, Daniel's mom is indeed Eloise Hawking. This is also the first time they actually acknowledge on screen that her first name is Eloise. Oh, and given the surprise on Ben's face, he might not have known she was Faraday's mom.
Ben tells her they were all he could get on such short notice (when she asks why he doesn't have everybody), and she's all "Well, lets get this started then". And then we fade to black before she gets a chance to start expositing.
