Maple bacon, the candy of meats
Just sitting here at my cluttered workspace:

My cohort for the shift has been vacaying it the past few days, so I've been left to my own devices. Watching Gametrailers TV on Spike right now, the magazine is "Gamepro", "pro" pronounced the normal way, right? Because for some reason, they're all saying "Gameprow", rhyming with frau. Its very confusing!
Friday night TV commentary:
So we have a Devil Wears Prada storyline for Paige, and a medical marijuana storyline for Spinner? Heh, I'm amused at how easily Spinner gets over it talking to Darcy. "I'm being an idiot, I need to stop acting like an idiot!" I'm glad its that easy for him! I wonder if the whole Darcy suicide storyline is over, or if they're dropping subtle hints that she's still in a messed up place? I mean, "Life is a prison"?! I'm glad Spinner is working out his problems, but some of the stuff his ex is saying is kinda messed up, she might need to see a p-sychiatrist.
So this was all a scheme by the Whale to get Monk in jail while getting himself released? And wasn't the Whale played by Tim Curry originally?! But heh on the mention of Sharona and her son coming to the funeral, and that was an interesting little problem they had there for Monk's supposed death. The captain doesn't want Natalie to get herself in debt over what's gonna end up being a fake funeral, but it makes him come off as a callous jerk. I was gonna say the Captain coulda prolly trusted Natalie (though I guess he was doing the whole plausible deniability thing, if she doesn't know, she can't get in trouble for lying), but then she had to go and see him immediately! The sheriff's not gonna find it suspicious that she's been working so hard on Monk's funeral, and all of a sudden she goes on a road trip!?
It is an amusing coincedence though that the sheriff had the whole "its not what happened, it what you can prove" line, wasn't it his death in Training Day that Denzel and his crew said that line over? I was also amused that Randy's song annoyed the Captain so much that he fessed up just to shut him up.
Also amused by the foreshadowing with the motel owner's daughter bring up the puppy's shock collar. Heh, I wonder if that was gonna be important?! What is the term for that sort of exposition, where some character drops a random bit of info that seems like idle chit chat at the time, but ends up being important in the scheme of things?
Ah, so they brought back Michael. He was bound to make an appearance sooner or later. So all of Teyla's missing people were turned into hybrids? And like that version of Doc Mckay isn't a replicator?!
