knowing is half the battle

So I'm looking at the description for tonight's NCIS on the channel guide, and see a listing of guest stars and the roles they're playing. So I see some of the character names are Courtney Krieger, Shannon O'Hara, Robert Graves, and Carl Greer. So I'm like, "NO WAI!" Why? Because those are the "real names" of some of the Joes: Courtney is Cover Girl, Shannon is Scarlett (actually, its Shana, but close enough), Robert is Grunt (who went to Tech in the comics), and Carl is Doc. EDIT: Watching the episode right now, they also have a Marvin Hinton, which is of course, Roadblock's real name. I'm guessing the ep was written by a big G.I.Joe fan?

Although, why the hell do I know the real names of Joes?! That brain space couldn't be dedicated to something more important? I mean, that's pretty geeky right there, seeing those names and knowing off the top of my head who exactly they were. After all, G.I. Joe identities would be more obscure than like the alternate identities of the X-men or the Justice League, particularly since I would think more people are familiar with the cartoon rather than the comic.

Hah hah. You're so yourself. :)
It's how we know you're not a doppleganger.
