The fact that you call it that means you're not ready
Owel, walking back from my daily constitutional, I think I did something that makes me look like a total jerk off. I mean, I wasn't trying to be, but going over it in my head, I can see how it can be construed as a-holeish. But I digress. I need to learn to stop dwelling on things that will soon be forgotten.
Saw that Heartbreak Kid movie over the weekend. It had some funny moments, but its like the Farrelly brothers ran out of ideas and are stealing from their own work, as there were several "There's Something About Mary" moments. In any case, seemed to have more trailers than usual before the movie.
But speaking of upcoming movies, which is the cornier concept:
1) August Rush- Keri Russell as a sheltered cellist and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers as a charismatic guitarist who have a one night stand. Felicity gets preggers and gives it up for adoption because circumstances kept she and him apart and she's not ready to have a baby on her own. So the kid grows up to be a musical prodigy raised on the streets by a mysterious stranger played by Robin Williams, and the boy and his parents all somehow start hearing music in their heads subconciously drawing themselves to one another.
2) P.S., I Love You- Hillary Swank's husband, Phantom King Leonidas, dies, and then she starts getting letters that he apparently set up to be sent to her upon his death. (How macabre and twisted is that?!) And they appear over a 10 month period, and its all part of some master plan (or should that be sick game?) to ease her pain and get her to move on with her life now that he's gone.
I know, you're thinking, "you say you think both those movies are corny ass, but like you're not gonna watch them!" And you would be right, because I'm a giant poofta. Hey, after hearing the concepts, who wouldn't be curious to know if music reunites the family, or if the letters really help ease the grieving widow's pain? I'm guessing yes to both, but still!
