icy sunsets

Holy crap, its all icy out there. Luckily, there was left-over lasagna in the fridge, so at least there's something to eat. But anyways, its been a day stuck at home. Watched last night's ep of Battlestar Galactica on the PVR. (It was interesting) Then played some RE4, had some lasagna for lunch and then watched Before Sunset (but more on that later). Went out to take out the trash and saw how iced over my car was. I was having fun sweeping off all the icicles and hitting the ice so it would crack and fall apart, but then it started raining again, ruining all my fun.

Getting to "Before Sunset". It was pretty cool. I think of the two, I liked this one better. But while you could prolly see just one or the other (I think you get the gist of it in the beginning of Before Sunset), one should prolly see both. Well, at least they answer the question of what happened after Before Sunrise in the first five minutes. It was amusing when Celine asked Jesse if he showed up and is all "nah" and she's all "good" because she couldn't show up because her grams died and at first was all "thank goodness" because she woulda felt really bad. Then she's all, "Wait, why didn't you show up?!" and he fesses up that he did and she started feeling horrible and thinking he hates her guts. Ha! But it was good for them to mention how dumb they felt for not exchanging some sort of contact info. Oh, and the fact that they were both living in NY at the same time, if it were me, that woulda driven me crazy to find that out. Like that actually might've been her he saw on his way to his wedding and not his imagination!

Ida know, they kept talking about how maybe they couldn't do long term things because nothing since then has worked out, but if I were them, I'd be all fuck it and just go for it. Its like, would they really be happier to just keep the memory of that night and not ruin it by getting into a relationship that might end badly? I mean, she practically says that night ruined all her relationships after that. And ahe's only in the marriage for his kid and dreams about her all the time. If they're so hung up on it, I think they'd be stuck in that funk until they hook up. Otherwise their lives will just be full of regret. So, I'd like to think when she's all "You're gonna miss your flight" and he's all "I guess so" that he stays. I mean, what's the big deal, he's a published author, and its the last leg of his tour, he's just going home. I'm sure he can pay for his own ticket. Stay a few days, man!

Strangely enough, I had Ivy's "Edge of the Ocean" stuck in my head all week, and just peeking around the DVD, saw (or heard, I guess) that's the song they play in the trailer.
