Just another manic monday. And what the hell, I swear it was in the 70s just a few days ago and now its in the 30s?! What is with this Atlanta weather. Owel, had my one week follow-up appointment today. Things seem to be going well, thankfully. Although they say it'll be a month until my left eye settles down into a final "vision setting". It sucks, I can see things clearly, except when I'm trying to read, then the words get all blurry. And its only certain text size/contrast combinations. I mean, I can read what I'm typing right now perfectly. But I still need to use xmag to read any remedy requests. And I can read ny e-mail and news just fine here or on the downstairs computer at home, but I have trouble on the roomie's 'puter. And reading books is a bitch!
I might wait a couple months on the right eye, its not throwing off my vision as much as I thought it would. Actually, the doctors were recommending I lose the glasses and just use my right eye to read and the left for distance for now. Ida know, I like wearing glasses. I mean, even if I had the vision in both eyes corrected to 20/20 after the removal of the cataracts, I think I'd prefer wearing glasses, even if the lenses are just a zero power flat lenses. I dunno, do I look better with or without glasses? I think I look better with.

i also remember when you started wearing glasses, and you were freaked about how you would look with them--how ironic--and as s. pointed out last night, this has just created a monster because now you'll be even more obsessed with checking yourself out in the mirror, since you'll actually be able to see how you look (i told her about your discovery of gray hair)...

Was I freaked out? How the times have changed then! And there's nothing wrong with checking myself out. More people should! Ha! Its not a bad thing to be obsessed about either. If I had to be obsessed about one thing, myself wouldn't be a bad choice.
