Just sitting here at Krug's laptop, eating dinner. Woke up "early" (i.e. 3pm) so I could catch Freddy vs Jason. Interesting movie. The acting by the teens is slightly cringe worthy, but I think overall it was well done for its genre.

Anyways, the premise is the parents of Elm St figured out how to beat Freddy, by making people forget about him. The parents started secretly putting their kids on a drug that suppressed their dreams. Then they eliminated any records of him or his crimes from the town archives. Since they no longer knew who he was, Freddy became impotent, no longer able to haunt their dreams. So, he gets the idea to trick Jason by taking the guise of his mother while he was hibernating, sending him to Elm st. Jason would start killing people and Freddy hoped they would think it was him, and as they started getting scared, he would gain more power and be able to haunt their dreams again. And the plan worked. Except he couldn't control Jason. Jason started killing the kids before he had a chance to steal their souls. So they start fighting over the kills, with the kids of Elm st. caught in the middle.

It worked out just like people who've tried tackling the question thought- that Freddy would dominate in the dream world, whereas Jason would fold Freddy in half in the real world. It was pretty close though. When they grabbed Freddy into the real world, he did give Jason a real run for his money.

Tried trivia at Burrito Art that night. I actually got something other than the Asian Meatloaf burrito, I had a create your own Burrito, with pulled pork and bacon. It tasted pretty good. Owel, we were in third place going to the final question, but we didn't go with the answer I had for "order the inner planets from smallest to largest", which was of course Mercury, Mars, Venus, and Earth. They had Venus and Earth inversed. Actually, that was one of three questions that I had the correct answer to but they didn't listen. I was sure Paris was the third city to have a Disney thingie, and I had correctly guessed that scientists accidentally discovered LSD when trying to find a cure for Polio in the 1930s. I figured the fact that it was a mind-altering drug was a red herring. Because of that, they assumed it was for some mental problem. Polio seemed to be a big thing back then, so I thought if they were trying to cure something, that would be it. Though, they did think we should've changed the final answer to what I said, since I was right the other times they were sure it was something else. But, you know under-confident me, I didn't want to be the one to drop the ball. That and they were so convinced, I actually thought to my big book on the solar system and mis-saw the chart that compared the sizes of the inner planets in my head so that Venus looked the largest. So I relented. Owel, if we won, we'd have to go back the next week, and we really didn't want to. First, it started a little too late for our tastes, and secondly it was very loud.

Owel, now that I've done everything in DW4, I started playing the other games ignored during my DW4 addiction. Right now my current project is to beat DMC2 on hard mode to unlock Trish. And I get SCII and Buffy next week. So that'll be something to do at night when everyone else is asleep.
