TV commentary:
Gotham- That was quick. I figured they'd let that storyline stew for a while. But nope, Jeremiah is going straight into being the Joker, with Ecco as his Harley. According to him, its not his brother's special gas that did this- he was always evil and insane (after all, Ecco didn't get blasted with the gas, and she's following Jeremiah's plans willingly, which presumably she wouldn't do if he wasn't already a baddie and she knew it and accepted it), he just has higher aspirations than his brother.
And so he tricked Bruce into help building some fancy energy sources under the guise of clean, renewable energy, but they're also super-bombs. Which he'll use to destroy Gotham.
Also, I hate to admit it, but I actually think Nygma and Lee are kinda cute together. Their interactions during the rescue were pretty sweet.
OUAT- Interesting, that explains a lot actually! So we finally know why we don't see Emma or the Charmings or other Storybrook denizens showing up to try and help break the curse- HH is in the past! The reason their friends aren't rescuing them is because they don't even know anything is wrong, as this all is running concurrent to Henry's last year of high school.
So yeah, Henry lost his belief because he grew up, and experienced so much pain and loss that its made him jaded. Lucy and Regina are crushed when no matter all the evidence they show to Henry, he won't believe. But, Henry ends up helping himself!
Regina tried to show Henry his adoption papers, but it doesn't work. However, when he tries to call Jacinda to cancel their trip together for the weekend because of the weather/Lucy being upset, he finds the adoption papers in his bag. On a whim, he decides to call the number, his number, and ends up talking to himself on the night of his graduation!
He remembers that call, "because it was weird", but it also gave him the advice where home isn't a place, its the people you take with you in your heart. He also pointed out to him a gift that fell behind the dresser from Tiny, a magic bean, the very one he used to go off on his adventure in the beginning of the season.
So with his memories returned, he hugs his daughter and apologizes for taking so long to believe, and goes off to help his mom.
While all this is going on, Rogers manages to escape from captivity, witnessing the ritual turning one of the witches into a tree. As the henchcop tells him, that happens after they finish their part of the spell. They're turned into trees as a reward, to join the great grove. Despite Tilly knowing he's her father, he is unable to pull her out of her spell trance. Also, the poisoning spell starts to hurt him, but he of course doesn't know why.
So Rogers confronts Weaver, saying he saw all this crazy stuff, and since its getting to be the literal end of the world (Goethal's plan is to create a great storm to wipe out humanity) Weaver is just all, "Yeah, Henry's book is true!" He says since Goethal's on the verge of winning, the curse is thinning enough to cause the poison to be start to take effect again.
Weaver grabs Margot to get her help in waking Tilly. She tries, but Tilly's locked in and ends up casting a spell to shrink Weaver, Rogers, and Margot to prevent them from stopping her.
Lucky for them, Henry arrives right in time to help Roni fight Goethals. Ha, I find it hilarious that since she didn't have magic, her way to try and take Goethals out was to try and sneak up behind her to brain her with a baseball bat. Goethals easily blocks the attack, splintering the bat. But even that won't stop Regina, she uses what's left of the bat as a stake to try and stab Goethals, like she's Buffy or something. Goethals blast her through a sign, but Henry runs up to his mom's unconscious form and tells her to come back to him, kissing her on the forehead to break the curse.
Everyone's memories return. With Alice remembering who she is now, she sees Robin and finally stops chanting and the girls kiss, ending Goethal's plan. Earlier, Sabine had been looking for Drew, and Lucy points him in the direct of Samedi since they found a tarot card in his backpack. So Jacinda and Sabine go to confront him, and he shows them Drew tied up in a closet. He then uses a voodoo doll of Sabine to cause her pain and force the girls into the closet with Drew. But with the curse broken, they free themselves and go to attack Facilier, who teleports away.
Regina starts fighting Goethals with magic, when Alice shows up with Robin, Nook, and Rumpel. Rumpel says its for Alice to finish. She's scared, but her father tells her she can do it, going to hold her hand and fighting through the poison to be there for her. Robin grabs Alice's other hand, saying she's there for her too. So with newfound strength and support, she blasts her mom, turning her into a tree.
Alice tells Goethals she's sorry the world twisted Goethals into the monster she became, but Alice will do better for herself. And so with Goethals finally defeated, everyone reunites and is happy.
Except for Rumpel, since he's still separated from Belle. He goes to check the evidence room, and his dagger is gone, again! And so Rumpel confronts Facilier, tries strangling him with magic, but then stops, knowing he can never be with Belle if he murders Facilier. So Facilier taunts him, saying he's become the worst version of himself.
But just when you think he'll be the big bad, he gets stabbed in the back by... Wishverse Rumpel, who taunts that he's the worst version of himself! Hmm, so the final enemy is a Rumpel who never found love with Belle and had a son? This should be interesting!
