TV commentary:

Degrassi- Woah, I didn't think that was possible! Vijay and Baaz not being total idiots for once! Siding with Yael when Hunter broke up with them. Its like dude, when those two idiots are the well, non-idiots, you should really think about your life choices. I mean, why should Yael change because he thinks people will think he's some sort of gay? And its not like anyone was making fun of him for it. Well, at least the prom photographer wasn't, he just didn't know what they (they as a couple, not they Yael) were.

But heh, Baaz and Vijay were back to familiar territory when Hunter and Yael had gotten back together and they were all, "What does that make you, bi, poly?" Its like how do you understand Yael identifies as they, but not understand Hunter is still straight and is trying to make it work? Well, its good to see they're back to being morons.

And I think everyone was being blase about the situation with Saad. I mean, Saad was right to be worried, because heh, yeah if the authorities saw he was in communication with that one guy, he was prolly going to be effed. Like I doubt the police would accept it if he was all, "Well, I was angry, but not like, blow shit up angry!" At the same time though, I can see why Yael took those pics as evidence. I guess Saad didn't want to get involved, but its obvious the guy he was talking with was a some sort of radicalizer looking for recruits.

Though I'm not sure why Yael thought Saad would be involved with the bomb threat. Yes, Saad didn't endear himself to Degrassi with his speech, but she knows Lola, and Lola is a sweetheart. If she trusts Saad, that should be enough for her! But yeah, I'm surprised Saad was let go so soon. And Yael was all, "Oh, sorry I thought you were a terrorist!" Its like things could have gone really bad for Saad!

With Esme not graduating, I wonder if she'll be around next season, because it seems like there was a story to tell there. I mean, it was obvious she was bipolar or something. From the manic episodes to hypersexuality, there was clearly something wrong with her. And I get she was a bitch to a lot of people, which was prolly another symptom. She had clear abandonment issues. So she pushes most people away before they can leave her. but when she does fixate on someone, like Zig, its the exact opposite, and she'll do whatever to keep him.

It was kinda annoying, because following Maya's suicide attempt, they were treating her with kid gloves, but were unsympathetic to Esme. Again, Esme could be a real frakking krant, but it seemed on some level they knew she was crazy. But all they'd do is say, "Man, that bitch be cray!" and tell Zig he should dump her. Its like, why do they recognize Maya needs help, but not Esme?

Like when Frankie figured out Esme called in the bomb threat, and Shay was all, "She's crazy, but not that crazy!" Have you effin met Esme!?! I mean, its kinda crazy it took them that long to tell Miss Grell. Well, to be fair, it was Maya who did, because I guess she was troubled, she recognized it in Esme. Meanwhile, Zig is all, "Esme, there is something seriously wrong with you!"

You know what would help, maybe actually getting her help, instead of just calling her crazy!

But aw, Miles' dad finally accepting him, letting him access his trust early so he could go to that fancy writer's school in London. It was nice to see him acknowledge how far Miles had come in the last couple of years.

Though given how amazing things went with him, it kinda foreshadowed Zoe getting her heart broken by her mom. I mean, between Miles and Rasha reconciling with their own parents, it was kinda obvious that things weren't going to turn out well for Zoe.

But man, how big a krant was her mom? I mean, asking what time the graduation was, making it seem like she was going to be there for her daughter, only so she could send her husband in to give Zoe the stuff she needed for university like her birth certificate, basically washing her hands of Zoe. But it was all right in the end, since Zoe has a girlfriend who loves her, and tons of loyal friends.

I liked the vignette of all the graduates at the end, it was nice sendoff.
