TV commentary:

Faking It- Ah, this show can be so frustrating! Like they do just enough to keep you on the hook that Karmy might happen. And I'm just too invested to not see it through. Like the ep starts with a fake-out dream sequence where it seems seeing Amy with Sabrina sparked something in Karma and she kisses Amy, but then it turns into Sabrina. And this whole situation is confusing. Like at first it seems like Sabrina is faking it to win over Karma.

But then when she overhears Amy and Karma talking and she finds out about their whole history and Karma not wanting Amy to have her heart broken again by falling for someone who can't return her feelings, Sabrina actually seems guilty. So Sabrina tells Amy she's no longer curious and back to being straight. But then Amy does her big speech about labels in the cafeteria, and it seems Sabrina is all caught up in this and decides maybe she's not so straight after all and wants to explore things with Amy.

Like it doesn't seem like its another ruse, because its not like she had a confrontation with Karma in the interim when she told Amy she was straight. If she did, I would think maybe Sabrina was trying to get her hold on Amy. But she seems like she's really into Amy at this point.

But yeah, getting back to the Karmy teasing, I mean, the show tries it damndest to make you think Karma is jealous-jealous, even if she can't admit it to herself. Like trying to curb Amy's interest in Sabrina by pushing Felix into upping his time table. Like doing the Cyrano thing where she secretly plays the guitar in the bushes to make it look like Felix is the one playing. The thing about that is, whenever you see that plot on TV shows and movies, the person helping the other person woo someone, the first person is always also interested in that someone.

And then when Karma accompanies Felix to present the countdown clock he made for Amy, and they see her kissing Sabrina, they don't cut to Felix, they cut to Karma looking hurt. And its like, shit or get off the pot show! Follow through with these Karma feelings instead of stringing the audience along.

Like, hopefully they never return to Karma and Liam, because its over! No one wants to freaking see that! Which is why I actually like the Lauren and Liam being roommates stuff. I dunno if I want to see them as a couple, but at least it keeps Liam out of Karma's hair. Plus, they seem to be good for each other, and it brings Lauren more into the group. Like previously, she seemed slightly removed- she occasionally feuded with Shane and Amy, but she mostly had her own things going on which didn't intersect as much as everyone else did. I mean, Theo ended up arresting Karma's parents, but after that, she was back off on her own. They were working on this season by having Amy and Lauren be closer as sisters, but then they blew that up and haven't fully reconciled them, which is disappointing.

Finally, though it had been spoiled Noah was trans for the a good portion of the audience, they only now had him say it on the show. 1) Shane might not be as cool with is as he claims he is. And 2) Noah wants Shane to keep it secret, but with his track record, lets see how well that goes.
