TV commentary:
The 100- One more comment, its fine for people to not like Lexa or Clexa. But to claim Clarke is being OOC for not being mad at Lexa anymore is ridiculous. When she first met Finn, it was an antagonistic dynamic. Hell, Bellamy started as her first nemesis, trying to do anything to prevent the Delinquents from contacting the Ark. If she can be cool with them, why not Lexa? Just because its not the ship you want?
Elementary- Ah'm skeptical. The spy cam in the fake coaxial port- Sherlock is, people have so many outlets and ports, can you remember where they all are? Sure, I couldn't tell you every port or outlet in my bedroom. Like obviously there's ports and outlets behind my computer desk and outlets behind the TV and by the bed, but there are prolly other outlets somewhere in the room that I don't specifically know where they are. Particularly since they're at leg level. But a freaking coaxial port right next to the stove controls? I call shenanigans, I think you would all of a sudden noticed a port there if there wasn't one before!
I'm also annoyed by the body transport lady being fridged (no pun intended) in the beginning. Its like, hey, here's this heretofore unseen cute chick whom this minor recurring character likes. I had seen the episode description about a bomb blowing up in the morgue, so I knew where they were going with this and it kinda pissed me off. So coroner finally gathers up the courage to ask her out, and she says yes but then she gets freaking blown up. Are you friggin serious? You're going to introduce this lady and make her someone the coroner likes just to manufacture drama when she dies so you feel more upset at her death as opposed to it being a random who had no emotional connection to the coroner? I mean, I get this is a TV drama and they want you to feel invested, its just getting old to make up a female love interest solely for the purposes of getting to kill her off.
I am curious to see where this thing with Joan's lady cop rival is going. Because she knows Joan knows she went all vigilante on some guy. I would think she'd be a little nervous having someone out there knowing it, even if she believes Joan and Sherlock are like her and are cool with going above the law to get "justice". So I'm guessing she'll either do something to protect herself if she starts worrying Joan is going to make a move on her, or her comments are foreshadowing and Joan will be in some situation where some villain does something really bad to her or someone she cares about and gets off and Joan will be in the position to illegally extract revenge.
TVD- This showed early in Canada again, so I was able to watch it ahead of tonight's showing again. I can't believe they went there! First things first, lets get the flashforwards out of the way. It turns out, Matt is working with this Huntress! He's willing to spare Caroline, but he really wants to get Stefan. He mentions something about how he use to have a girlfriend that he lost. I presume he means someone in the intervening time between now and the future, and not in general, he used to be able to have a normal life and go out with a girl before all this vampire stuff. Heck, I can't even remember his previous love interests besides Caroline and Elena, and those were over a long time ago. I don't think the Bekster or Nadia count either. So I'm guessing he gets involved with this new deputy girl who pulls him over for distracted driving in the present?
Anyways, turns out Damon did really attack everyone. Which I call BS on Matt. Like Stefan is obviously fine with the broken neck, he could've easily missed Caroline's heart, and Bonnie's injuries did seem like the type you could heal with vampire blood if you got to her in time. But they made it seem like Damon hit Matt hard enough to break his neck. Like his head jerked back and you heard a snap. No amount of vamp blood should be able to heal that!
But yeah, Damon feeds Matt and Bonnie in time to save them, and then Caroline subdues him. Damon wakes up in chains and is surprised his brother is chill about the whole thing. Since he had been in the phoenix stone too, he knows what it was like. So he understands the lashing out, but he also tells Damon he has to watch him, because even after getting out, Stefan was being haunted. Turns out its called the phoenix stone because it wants to take away what was holding a vampire back so they can become there true selves.
For Stefan, it was Damon. His personal hell was drowning in the quarry over and over again, Damon dragging him down each time. Finally, he let go of Damon and they were able to get him out. But once out, he continued to see Damon's ghost in the real world, and eventually went so nuts he was about to burn Damon's unconscious body to end it. But luckily Caroline stopped him. The visions seemed to stop then, but have since returned after Damon woke up again- leading to an unfortunate situation where Stefan thought he was still monitoring Damon to make sure he didn't go off the deep end (well, further, since he randomly killed one of Julian's new cronies by accident), but he was actually with a hallucination.
This leaves Damon free to do something incredibly shocking. His ghost was his civil war buddy. His friend hounded him, causing Damon to attack and kill aforementioned random vamp because he thought it was his fellow soldier taunting him. Damon ends up getting a hold of Tyler (who's at Whitmore for Caroline's baby shower) to get him to lead him to where he hid Elena's body. He needs to see her to give her strength.
Only, when they get there, he opens the coffin to see his war buddy. Damon ends up attacking Tyler and knocking him out, and goes to burn Henry (I was annoyed having to continue to refer to him as Damon's Civil war friend, so I had to look up his name, which is Henry. And whom I apparently didn't recognize as one of the tomb vampires from the first season). Which, Damon, the idiot doesn't realize, "Hey, I've been having random hallucinations, maybe I shouldn't burn what I thought was Elena's coffin just because I see Henry is in there instead. I might just accidentally set Elena on fire!" Which he ends up doing. So holy crap, I guess she's gone-gone?
Devastated, he returns to Mystic Falls, but doesn't have the heart to reveal to Stefan what he did. Wouldn't Tyler know? Tyler is in the flash forwards, so he obviously didn't accidentally kill him. But Elena was his friend, so I doubt he'd cover up for Damon killing one of his closest friends, even if it was under the effects of something supernatural.
Other stuff, Caroline is finding out Alaric is accepting a job in Texas. She forgot the babies aren't actually hers, and thus didn't realize Alaric was planning to raise them as a single dad far, far away from the supernatural. I'm guessing she follows him though, since she's in Dallas in the future.
Heh, also, apparently Bonnie has befriended Nora, much to Matt's chagrin. Are we gonna get some Bonora before Benzo or whatever the Bonnie/Enzo ship is? I could get behind that, that's definitely more interesting than Bonnie and Enzo. I mean, since Enzo and Damon are very similar, its like they don't want to do Bamon, and are just putting her with Enzo in the hopes that people will run with that instead. But whatever, Bamon would be interesting, but Benzo is just Bamon light.
