Degrassi- Finally got up to that episode. bbv('This is total BS!') So Zoe and Grace do it... only for Grace to say the next day she's totally not gay and only went along for Zoe's sake. Which, what?!! Since the scene before they slept together was Grace using her breather and reminding the audience Grace is dying, its my hope she was lying and was just saying that because she was freaked out and wanted to let Zoe down easily before she got too attached to a dying girl. But from what I hear, they don't interact for the rest of the season.

Which is bullshit, since Zoe lashes out by sleeping with Zig because Grace claims she once had a crush on him, and it can't end like that. I mean, I do think people throw the term queer baiting around too much, like not every time a queer couple doesn't work out is queer baiting. But in this case it feels like it. They build up Gracevas and then they destroy it in an instant by having Grace be all, "Oh, no thanks, I'm not gay!"

Of course, this whole situation has repercussions for Zig and Maya's relationship, because Zig is a fucking moron and was jealous of Jonah. Of course, they act like Zoe did this just to get back at Grace, but lets not forget there used to be a Maya-Zig-Zoe love triangle.

But yikes, we see how incredibly bad Esme is for Miles. He breaks up with her because she's an enabler. She provides him with drugs, despite seeing how destructive he gets, seemingly because she seems to get off on all the chaos that occurs. I guess what makes her interesting is that she's obviously crazy pants, but she looks like a uptight preppy vanilla girl.

I was finding it weird that people were comparing her to Imogen, but then I was reminded that when she first showed up and was involved with Eli, she was the bad kinda crazy, encouraging his worst crazy impulses. And then she eventually turned into a quirky manic pixie dream girl. So people were commenting that they hope they don't end up going the same route with Esme, where they downplay what a menace she is in future eps.
