TV commentary:
Orphan Black- Woah, mind blowing season finale. So, in the wake of Kira's capture, Sarah basically turns herself into dyad, forcing her friends to figure out a way to free them.
Delphine provides what little help she can- Rachel basically forced her out, not even letting her see Cosima before she has to go. But, she does manage to get Cosima a copy of Rachel's schedule, allowing Cosima and Scott to cook up a sort of gun from a fire extinguisher, pencil, and a scrap, which Scott gets to Sarah in the nick of time before Dyad removes one of her ovaries. She shoots Rachel in the eye with a pencil, and Scott gets her a key card to leave the building.
She quickly picks up Kira, and meets Marion (more on that later) who implores Sarah to meet her later if she wants answers on everything.
But heh, yeah, Rachel is just having a bad day, not only from getting shot in the eye and everyone betraying her, but her father kills himself in order to prevent Dyad from getting the keys. Still, even though Rachel is a stone cold evil bitch, its sad seeing her beg her dad not to leave her again. But, he tells her he doesn't deserve her anymore. rjv('Cold blooded!')
Getting back to Marion, interestingly enough, she is the source Cal found on Darknet. He got a call from Kira, and so he seeks out Mrs. S and Felix vouches for him. Mrs. S is skeptical at first about this mysterious source he has, until on the chat he opened the source asks him to ask her about Castor.
And so she contacts Paul, who we find out is a double agent- he was working for project Castor, and infiltrated project Leda. So Mrs. S convinces him to help (after all, he does care for Sarah), and after having a dick measuring contest with Cal, he meets with Cal source, who as I said before turns out to be Marion.
And that is why she decides to help Sarah escape. Turns out she works for a group above Dyad, guiding it. For her group, its all about the science, so the info about Castor was edifying. So what is project Castor? Turns out after the original cloning project was ended, while Dyad ran with project Leda, the military started up project Castor, which involved male clones.
And who is the male clone? Mark! Marion introduces Sarah to him during their meeting, along with a younger version of the clone club, Charlotte, the only successful clone of 400 attempts after the original project was destroyed.
Getting the male clone from Castor came at a price though. So, after Sarah and Kira get home, she introduces Cal to the clone club (they like him), and Kira finally gets to meet Helena. And then its a clone dance party. Heh, now the show is just freaking showing off, filming Tatiana Maslany seamlessly having a dance party with herself, Kira and Fee. But anyways, afterwards, when everyone is asleep, Helena takes her leave, sniffing Mike from Suits' trucker cap. She's in lurve, and hopes to find him again. But she doesn't get the chance- some men grab her outside of the apartment.
(And what the frick, her sisters don't even notice? Do they think she was just being flaky and took off again?)
And who grabbed her? Project Castor guys. Turns out in addition to the files they gave Marion, Mrs. S and Paul also promised them Helena.
Other stuff, we get a scare that Cosima died, but a vision of Delphine (and Kira waking her in the real world) keeps her going on. Things were still bleak for Cosima though- Rachel destroyed the marrow samples they got from Kira, and they can't harvest some more for a few weeks, even if they wanted to. Basically, after her dad died, she demanded the sequences from Sarah, who she was convinced he told. Unfortunately, Sarah doesn't know anything, so Rachel had destroyed the samples in a fit of rage.
But she does have the sequences, or at least her daughter does! I mean, we knew the book Prof Duncan gave her was full of codes, but when Kira has Cosima read her the book, Cosima figures out what they have.
As for Alison, looks like things are good between her and Donnie. And I guess they're still keeping the whole accidentally killing Dr Leekie thing a secret?
