Went to LI on Saturday, managed to use up the Bloomingdale's gift card, which is good, because I didn't know if there was a Bloomies in Atlanta. (Though checking now, there's one in Lenox mall) Heh, ate at Friday's as usual for lunch, not that's a bad thing. Yeah, they always go there, but it has enough variety that there's something for everyone.
Sunday went to NJ for R and J's twins' Christening. Well, we went to the reception, we didn't go to the actual Christening since it was Episcopalian. Given it was a relatively big event, I was kinda hoping A would be there. I mean, J's brother and his family had come up from Florida so I figured she might come up too. Like I was hoping I'd see her Christmas, but if not, at this thing. But alas, no. Still, it was a nice time. Good food, the DJ started with some easy listening of the 60-80s, but then started doing more recent stuff. I'm still trying to figure out what the Charlie Brown move that the guy in that Cha Cha slide song is telling people to do.
Dad used the Best Buy card I got him to get Elysium and Percy Jackson:Sea of Monsters. I'd already seen the former, but I hadn't seen the latter, so watched that. It wasn't too bad. I'm a little sad the movies weren't so successful here, because from what I've picked up about the series, it seems interesting enough. And hey, it has Alexandra Daddario looking all hot, as well as Leven Rambin as a brunette, playing a daughter of Ares (so, points there). Plus, you know how much I like neurotic and/or bitchy blue eyed brunettes.
TV commentary:
Lost Girl- Heh, I thought that whole thing with Bo washing the car while Lauren and Dyson watched was just an amusing promo they were doing for the upcoming season, I didn't realize it would actually be in an ep. And ha, Lauren elbowing Dyson out of the way to get in the back seat with Bo.
Funny ep. Dyson and Lauren getting drunk and talking through who's more perfect for Bo was cute, as was Hale's horrible game with Kenzi. And ha, when she finds out he had been repeating the night, Bo was all, "Don't worry, she'll forget all about it!" that's when the night stops repeating. I can see why she suspected he was being all skeezy, like he was just doing her over and over. But he was just dorkily screwing up over and over and he was trying to get it right. Also, that after all of Lauren and Dyson's debating, Dyson fell asleep with the box and Kenzi found it and gave it to Bo.
Also, Tamsin and Bo are stuck in the time loop, so they just start doing crazy things, like having hot lesbo sex in front of everyone. spcv('Nice!')
Anyways, so Tamsin's regret was that she led the Wanderer to Bo. In her defense, she was assigned the task long ago, and she didn't think someone like Bo could exist. (Heh, the way she talked about Bo, she's totally into her, isn't she?) She was scared Bo would hate her, but of course Bo forgives her. Also, since when did Tamsin start thinking of Kenzi as her mom?! Like given the rebirth thing and Kenzi taking care of her, I figured she saw her as an adult influence, but I thought like a big sister or something. It was kinda weird when she called Kenz "Mom".
Bo's denial is that she actually scared of what is coming. And she should be! Like Tamsin said the guy was looking for the perfect mate, even if he had to make her. Which, how skeezy and incestuous is that?
