ME Blather- I know I'm a little late to the party to be complaining about things in this game since its been out for years. But I ran into one annoying thing about the way they do inventory. So everyone has armor and the four weapon types (pistol, assault rifle, shotgun, sniper rifle), and the biotics have a slot for biotic amps, and those with tech have a slot for omni-tool. And you have to have something in all those slots- i.e., you can only switch stuff out. Which is fine. But unless you have something to switch out to you won't be able to trade stuff between your characters. So before I got the hang of how people should be equipped, if I got something better, I would give it to whoever was in my party at the time. And so when I finally got every character, and had extraneous equipment, I thought, "Oh, I don't need the crappy stuff anymore, but I do need money or omni-gel", so I got rid of the pistols I would no longer ever use. Only, now that I have no pistol to switch to, I can't rearrange who has what pistol!
I mean, I figure people should only be using the best weapon they are proficient at. So Kaiden and Liara, they should have the best pistols, so they can at least fire back while they're powers are cooling down. And folks like Wrex and Ashley should be using their assault rifles or shotguns, not measly pistols. I'm not gonna drop 3000 for the cheapest pistol available in the shops right now, because this early in the game I loathe to waste money like that, hopefully my next mission some enemy will drop a pistol so I can rearrange the pistols appropriately.
But I'm getting the hang of this game now. I just wish I had more credits!
TV commentary:
Gossip Girl- Thank god this show is ending next week! I've stuck with it this long, so I might as well see how it ends. I should've just stuck to my guns and just pretended the show ended with episode 20 of last season, because there's no way this show ends in a way that's pleasing to me. Like I said, I don't even mind Blair will end up with Chuck, I'm just pissed they trashed the friendship she and Dan had to get back to that point. And I'm more pissed they're having Dan and Serena get back together, because it makes no damn sense. I used to be against it because the pattern throughout the show was Serena was only interested in Dan until someone who would cause more drama in her life came along. But after Dan tired of those antics, he was pretty effin awful to her. Why the hell would she want him back?
And it really undercuts the Dan/Blair stuff. I mean, the whole point of Inside was that he started crushing on the hot blond, but along the way, he fell for her best friend. And I thought it was a nice story- Blair was always getting outshone by Serena, but Dan noticed Blair, he understood and appreciated her in a way Chuck never did. But this whole Serena still being the one Dan wanted this whole time shits on all of that. Whatever.
Anyways, the ending of last night's ep was hilariously bad. I mean, this show is basically a soap opera, but the whole Chuck letting Bart fall off the roof seemed ridiculous even for this show. Particularly since they chose to play overly dramatic music during the whole thing. Its like they were trying to highlight how cheesy this was.
Dexter- So much for Dexter and Hannah! Things come to a head between Hannah and Deb. And Deb just so happens to end up in the hospital after passing out at the wheel. So of course, Dexter is going to be suspicious of his gf, the poisoner. Hannah denies it, and makes a really good case for herself- if she wanted to kill Deb, she'd be dead, and that it would be pretty damn obvious to try and kill her that way anyways. Of course, Dex shows how much he really doesn't trust her despite thinking he loves her by saying he could never fully know it wasn't Hannah if something happened to Deb.
In the end, since it was obvious Deb's water was spiked, he chooses Deb and gives MM the poisoned pen the writer guy was chewing on, so they come and arrest her. Hannah tearfully tells Dex he should've killed her, though I'm not sure if she meant it in a revenge sort of way, or a why did he spare her if he was going to do that to her. I mean, remember, she has huge trust issues, and some of those people she killed were in a "kill them before they have a chance to betray her" way. And Dex was this guy who knew her darkness, and seemed like he would never run away, never betray her. And he does!
He there are some who theorized Deb poisoned herself to manipulate Dex into take her side, but that would be an incredibly insane risk.
The other amusing thing is Dex doesn't trust Hannah around Deb, but he murdered Hannah's dad! I guess that's part of who he is, since he thinks like those people, he expects them to act like he does.
But is it really wise to arrest her, since she knows Dexter's secret. And they know Laguerta's sniffing around. I mean, sure, they set up proof reaffirming Doakes as the BHB, which lost Matthews as an ally to her since he's convinced that its Doakes and not Dex.
Only, Laguerta helped the last guy involved with Dexter's mother's murder get paroled, to use him as bait. And Dex falls for it. He escapes the trap at the last minute, but the guy ends up getting away. And since Dex revealed himself, that's another person out there who knows Dex's secret.
So things are definitely going bad for Dex going into the season finale.
