Ugh. given two separate issues happened at work yesterday, the big wigs are freaked out about any "unnecessary" maintenance going on, at least until registration is over. So now I have a couple of projects I have to sit on until after next week. I really hate putting off til tomorrow what I can do today, but whatever, if that's what they want, I'll abide.
TV commentary:
Burn Notice- Heh, that Hyundai product placement was hilariously terrible last night. Could they be any more obvious? What with the Michael VO being all, "Sometimes spies need a high performance car, but fancy mods might make the bad guys suspicious. So instead, they need to use a car that's high performance out of the box, like this Hyundai Genesis we've been showing you during this VO!"
And wait, did the one chick's tits somehow get bigger after you find out she's secretly evil? Because most of the ep she's like "meh", and then she turns evil and its like, "Woah, where did those things come out of, they're ready to spill out of her dress!"
Finding out the sniper's identity was a little clunky though. What with the guy showing up at the meeting all, "Oh, don't try to fool me! I know you're looking for Terence Grey!" Well, that was convenient!
Degrassi- The beginning tag (where thankfully Miss O and Claire's mom believe her about the allegations) and want to go to the police and Claire doesn't want to and get humiliated again when they don't believe her and is all, "Don't I get a say in this?", given you're a minor Claire, you don't. In any case, its interesting to see the role reversal and Eli being the level headed one and not wanting Claire to go with the insane scheme to plant racy photos of herself in his computer to get him arrested for child pr0n. Also, it was interesting to see Claire and Katie share this plot though. I mean, after the whole Claire/Jake fallout, they really haven't interacted on the show much, so its easy to forget they used to go out and are currently step-siblings. So they have Jake in common. But glad to see she came to her senses, and it looks like that last intern she interviewed was also harassed and is on Claire's side now, so maybe she can get justice the right way.
It was nice to see Owen stick up for his brother against his teammates. And for Becky to step up and help with the play. I know some people don't like Becky because of her anti-homosexuality beliefs in the beginning, but its called a character arc! They're definitely going the Becky/Adam route, and as someone once said, they don't write love stories about the ones that come easy. Some people are all, can't Adam get with someone nice who wasn't thinking he was all sinful for being trans? Well, sure, but then you'd get complaints about how boring the plot is!
Suits- How hot did Donna look in that cleavage-y dress? And heh, what the frick, Mike? Could you make Rachel any more wetter for you? I mean, there was the time a couple of weeks ago where he saw her tooling around that dating site and came up with that incredible, heartfelt description of her when she asked what she should put under "about myself". Then today she spies him using his bonus to buy an apartment for his ailing grandmother?! She looked like she was about to cry! But geez, parallels between Harvey and Mike much? Last week in the flashback, we see after Harvey's promotion, Donna looking devastated at having to tell him his dad just died. And now this week, we have Rachel show up at his grandma's apartment to tell him the phone has been ringing off the hook for him all day at work whule he was getting the apartment ready, because they were trying to get a hold of him to say Faye died. And he didn't even get to surprise her with the apartment!
